On the 3rd down int in the end zone against Miami, Conception is running a shallow cross, and is knocked down as he makes his cut in the end zone.

Surprised no one has mentioned this.

There were several major calls the refs could have called. Either they were blind or threw out the rule book for this game. One was where Conception was out of bounds and was slung down and there was a targeting hit on
Owens at the goal line with like 30 seconds left.

it was brought up on several threads but we were all focused, like the refs, on Reeds terrible interception

the targeting while a good hit in my day was blantantly obvious. the kid who made the hit got hurt. there was ample opportunity for it to be reviewed and it never was.

Which only serves to highlight the selectiveness of rules enforcement. It's very subjective and manipulated.

Seems like the refs have a "let them play" edict during the playoffs.

i can't disagree. there were two really bad calls that didn't go our way. the targeting at the end and the no call on the sideline when our player was thrown down three yards out of bounds. if the proper call was made we have the first down on their end of the field earlier in the game.

no excuses we lost it is what it is but both of those calls were flat out bad calls/ no calls.

The worst call was Reed's fumble that was called dead as an incomplete pass and then changed after the fact. There wasn't a clear recovery at the whistle and players let up. How was that not reviewed?

You misspelled "when the Aggies are the opponent."

Clearly. But they should never hold back from calling the player safety penalties.

This is a feature of Aggie football, not a bug. It happens with to great a regularity to be anything else.

Oh it was reviewed. Trash booth chose not to buzz down to the refs.

Teams like tu, Notre Dame, Alabama seem to always get those calls. We don't EVER seem to get those calls, except against lower tiered schools. It's like there's a pecking order, with historically good teams always getting the benefit of the doubt. It's frustrating to watch when we're trying to elevate our program.

A&M allows it without any pushback. Same oddity in the Houston game with the ball spot.

I wouldn't mind seeing Elko go all "Lou Holtz" on the refs every now and then. They're human. Get in their heads and you might just get the next questionable call go your way.

He did this after the late hit/unnecessary roughness play on our wr.

Miami right tackle was false starting all over the second half. They likely dont score a touchdown without those non calls

You make your own pot to sit in...you gotta win games. Period. We should be playing tOSU in a few days but we didn't get disputed calls. On that sideline play, I thought Elko was going to suffer a heart attack as he chased after the official so hard. The official never turned to face Elko to talk, nothing. I guarantee he would have stopped if that was Saban or Smart. Those programs win games and we are trying to get to that level. You won't see calls go our way until we start winning games.

That's part of the problem. If the refs called either one (or both) calls right, we very likely win. We can't always blame it on the ref, but in close games a few calls that go the wrong way can be the difference between beating a "blue blood" program and losing.

Agree 100%. You speak the truth my son. You know, every body on our campus works hard, does what they can do, supports the teams, "says their prayers," and as a collective group all maroon bloods do what it takes to win. Maybe I'm confusing the person, but I remember a guy named Mac Engel I think from the FTW StarTelegram commenting the day after we beat Texas in Austin 37-12 way back for Jackie's first win over them, and he wrote something to the effect that "you better watch out for the Aggies and this guy Jackie Sherrill in the future. The SWC is going to change." All it took was that one game, one game to beat Texas and we exploded and really never looked back on into RC's days and beyond. It will happen again.

Eugene Semko is a disgrace and I am surprised he's been allowed to manipulate games for as long as he has.

The ball went 7 yards straight forward despite Marcel running to the sideline and the defender tackling him from the side. His arm came forward and I'm not convinced the ball was out when the arm began going forward. But yeah, that should have been looked at.

I created a post about how the BDF 12 refs were gonna cheat and call against us and all the tree hugger and sip lover Ags said I wasn't right and were defending the BDF refs.

Yeah, as always I was right. We lost that game because of Klein, Reed, Elko, and the BDF refs.

The BDF refs no-calls especially the goal line targeting killed us.
