Maybe people wouldn't hate A&M if we weren't so dang obnoxious all the time.

Having lived in the Southeast, West Coast, and middle of the Pacific (literally across the county) after leaving CS what I've found is nobody gives a ****, at least those few who follow college athletics, which mirrors the Pew research finding that the majority of Americans don't closely follow college or pro sports.

Which again, leaves that unrepresentative bunch from rival sites making fun of the Ags because it brings some kind of juvenile self-affirmation, most likely stemming from likes, upvotes, or some such.

It's bizarre to me, grown men acting like children.

I mean, there a sip posters on this very thread who take pleasure in creating multiple accounts, writing long-winded gobbledygook to denigrate our school, and have conversations with themselves to bolster their trolling.

And it doesn't get any more obvious than what this Will Backus jackass from CBS wrote about the Aggie's loss to Miami. He makes it sound like the Ags were curb-stomped by Miami when they won by one touchdown. And that came about mostly from 2 plays/long runs by their rb. In reality, poor qb play AND play calling is all that kept the Aggies from curbstomping a mediocre Miami team.And he thinks WE were the only team that had a weak schedule?!? That's laughable! Backus is an outright TAMU hater! That article is rife with vitriol.

For entertainment, Dude Perfect guys are pretty damn famous. Tv shows and sold out tours across the country.

Nobody hates us or has it out for us. This is one of craziest things that is continually said on these boards. We are just another school with athletic programs to most everyone else. There is not this big conspiracy that is keeping us from achieving.

People disrespect the football program because we get a lot of media talk and never win anything.

It's just in your head. Just like a handful of aggies think officials and tv shows are "out to get us". Every fanbase thinks the same thing.

Whether posted by trolls or incredibly needy fans, these threads are embarrassing. If the mods cared about anything but traffic they would delete these right off the bat.

Sorry, I think this is a crazy take. I don't think anyone hates us except for maybe tu. Maybe we have annoying fans, but so does everyone else and many have much MORE annoying fans. Whatever you think, the yell leaders give folks plenty of reason to make fun of us. And, we probably--at least on here--whine more than most and blame refs for our shortcomings. But, thinking that everyone hates us is nuts.

The fact that Texas A&M is a one of the best rated universities every year, the claim of "hate" must arise from, or towards our football program. Back in the early to mid 1990's when the football team was dominating every thing in the SWC, it didn't matter. A&M would get denied favorable rankings, and all the previous years were marred by the 1994 NO TV/recruiting debacle. Pretty sure there are other universities that have gotten away with much worse.

Most of our other student-athletes seem to do pretty good in their respective sports at Texas A&M.

We got the former Gov of Texas, the owner of Buc'ees, at least 8 Astronauts, REK, Lyle Lovett.....

As a Football program we are a joke that keeps on giving.

The last two games this year will support this argument for at least another 20 years.

Charles Alan Wright was a morally bankrupt man. Good post though and you're right, it's always good to be a Fightin' Texas Aggie!

Texas A&M is well respected. Too many times, we get caught up in the high and lows of weekly college football wins and losses.

The only people who "hate" Texas A&M are college football fans who never even attended college.

Pride is off-putting from an outside perspective.

The world hates the USA. Americans hate Texans. Non-aggie Texans hate Aggies.

I am from Texas, but the Texans that visit or relocate to Colorado are annoying as ***** If you move here, don't try to convince everyone that Texas is better. If Texas is better, stay there. I only moved for a girl.

"They" don't like anyone outside the blue-blood click. They put up with Clemson because they had to, but if you'll notice they suck again and have gone quietly away.
