Never took their foot off their opponents throats

Awesome to see a team kick ass in the biggest moment. Football and baseball need that same killer mentality.

They had quiet confidence. Didn't need to write checks they couldn't cash

What impressed me was UK had them on their heels at the outset. We made some adjustments and put UK right back on their heels and kept them there for the rest of the match. They never panic but play with confidence. Outstanding.

I don't recall anyone talking about coaches, game plans, poor players, excuse, excuse, excuse….the girls got it done. They handled business AND it was hard for them. It's a killer instinct as stated above.

Even the equestrian team has multiple NC. Lol.

Steel balls. Cold blooded killers. Total commitment. No excuses.

So glad I didnt plug in the toaster yesterday. Gig'em Ags!!!! Let's go ladies!

I watched the match minus the first 15 or so points. UK is a good team. The Aggies blocked and hit their way to make a 2-loss SEC regular season and tournament champ, and NCAA finalist look like a middle of the road conference opponent. It was way more than just a good "rah-rah" speech that got that result.

I think every coach on campus needs to be spending time with the VB coach to see what went on in the tournament. Everything from handling adversity to playing above the level you've played all year.

They're as tough a team mentally as you'll ever see.

Football team needs to take some notes.

He goes way beyond just a women's college volleyball background, he's diverse…. including Olympic and International play, even in the men's game.

I honestly think our meat judging team won a natty as well.

Unfortunately they will not be taking notes and doubt we will ever win a championship in football

I thought the same. They wanted it. The boys were content on just making playoffs. They quit after the SC game when they knew they were in.

They didn't talk ***** They never over celebrated. They never lost their intensity. Absolutely the team could learn from them. ALL BUSINESS.

Thank the Lord for our Women's teams and Track & Field.

Women's natty's (off the top of my head):

* Basketball
* Volleyball
* Tennis

Softball made a title game appearance…

Would be nice for some of this to leak into our top 3 men's programs

Since 1984 I've seen the Girls Softball team win a National Championship as well as Basketball and now Volleyball. I've seen the men's teams win one in the, uh, well, ah, hmmmm!!! '70

We're a volleyball school! Actually, come to think of it, our women's teams are the only ones that ever win anything.

I heard the Volleyball team has a mental mindset coach, whatever that is.

Maybe the football team could get two of those!

Talk to Kyndal Stowers and her FOUR concussions. I think an article I read said something about being hit by a 70 mph+ serve, another one at similar speeds in the back of her head without any warning or time to prepare.

I doubt any of us, or many on the football team would sign up for that.

Go find some other Wheaties to piss in.


ETA: I think she has four more concussions than her Mackey Award winning All American tight end brother. Not saying he isn't tough but I think she's holding her own.

6-0 in sets at the championships, swept 2 #1 seeds in KC back to back. Girls got game!

Seriously? Football certainly has serious injuries, but it's a middle of the pack sport for toughness. Cross country and swimming easily require more toughness. Water polo, lacrosse, basketball...

Mental toughness

Important to note that these girls were rated similarly to the football team in the polls and were probably slightly shafted in being a 3 seed due to a perceived weak schedule where our non-conference opponents didn't perform as well as planned. They went out and took care of business against the best of the best each match. Have to go out there and perform, control what you can control.
