I want to know why Reed stopped running too.

Today, my thoughts are with the team and coaches. I appreciate the good season and know they must be horribly disappointed. They work hard and just couldn't get it done. That has got to be a drag for them.

Hopefully, the Ags can build from this season. I really want someone, anyone, to turn the program around.

You the kettle or the pot?

Even on check downs and bubble screens, Reed couldn't get the ball to his receivers in a way that allowed them to make plays after the catch. What's the point in having explosive receivers if the QB can't deliver an accurate ball to them?

2. I've seen people being pretty hard on Reed because he threw the interception and I'm sure he owns that. We were severely lacking in the run game yesterday. We could not run because the U stacked the box on defense. No team can run well when it's like that. Miami made a calculated gamble. They thought if they could stop the A&M run game they'd force Reed to make throws under pressure. And they correctly calculated Reed could not do that.


So here we are with a QB who is a great running QB but cannot throw worth a darn under pressure. Just stinks.

It's a real pleasure for a QB to just have to hand off 50% of the snaps if he has a good running team. Saves a lot of wear and tear and relieves pressure !

Because Klein was committed to making him a "pocket passer." He rarely called designed runs for Reed and he obviously never encouraged him to go ahead and get the guaranteed easy yardage with his feet if it was there.

Klein had the template for how to play Reed with last year's LSU game and .mysteriously never went back to that.

What baffles me is I coulda sworn his m.o. at KSU was very rpo/qb run heavy but I could be mis-remembering.

I don't see how this makes sense. You have to win 3, likely 4 games to win the title. A cushy schedule means virtually nothing. The best team will win the playoffs, not the team who had the best schedule.

Our OL was good this year BUT the type of OL we need to go to next level is one that can get the push to get 2 yds under any circumstances… even when the opponent stacks the box. They just simply weren't THAT good .

Much easier said than done I admit
