Well, if Reed asks for a raise to $4M like many are telling him, we have to say no thanks and move along.

My question would be does Elko know and is he able to evaluate correctly? If he whiffed on Bateman and is a defense coach then how are we to trust his ability after Klein?

The question we have to be asking is do we have a coach on staff that can properly evaluate and coach/train/improve the QB's? Can B Hart continue to progress and take the job? Maybe Reed can improve his footwork & fundamentals to increase his completion rate. Many on here though think QB's don't improve their accuracy. And then there's the kid out of Utah that was just signed. He's probably still a couple years away from contending for the QB1 job. So there's going to be competition and theres about eight months before the start of the '26 season. But, If the coaches want to bring in another QB, he needs to be a current multi-year starter with a high accuracy rate (not just another backup).

Word is he will transition us to the Franchione option offense.

I want to know if Wiggins is bringing a new scheme or are we getting what he learned from Klein the last two years. His early career was with Justin Fuentes then with Saban at Alabama, are we getting anything he learned at those stops? Or is Elko telling him what to run?

I assume transfer players will want to know too. But maybe sufficient NIL negates any unanswered questions re scheme?

I pointed this out when we were recruiting him and got a lot of **** about it, but he had, and still has, glaring mechanical issues that are known to cause accuracy and timing issues.

Specifically, his exaggerated flashing.

And it's a problem that is VERY difficult to correct at his age.
