Texas and Miami have good run defenses. They shut down our run and played zone. They know Marcel is bad when he has to read and pass from the pocket against zone coverage. Simple.

Zone defense all the time

We need an Isaiah Spiller type to complement the speedy running backs like Owens and Morrow

Not sure how anyone is absolving Klein of blame. Unless something else comes out he's the primary culprit.

We have a wide receiver playing quarterback. He did the best he could do. When did we last have a great quarterback. I'll wait! When did we last have an all American linebacker. I'll wait! We probably did the best best we could have done with what we had. There are only a few coaches that do more with less.

We haven't had a consistent passer with a legitimate deep threat since Johnny left. I don't know if that's a consequence of QB's, bad O-lines, or both, but we haven't been able to consistently pass well for 10+ years.

Guess some of y'all missed all the "experts" on the board yesterday ridiculing anyone who dared to call out Klein.
Sure there's plenty of blame to lay at Marcel's feet but who put him in those situations?

Miami defense made our QB be the one to beat them. He could not do it.

Miami offense made our LBs be the ones to beat them. They could not do it.

It was a carbon copy of the Texas game.

to repeat..... The job of OC just ain't about game day play calls. It's about D tendencies, weaknesses and how to exploit them and scripting plays for situations.

He stopped doing the legwork and it showed these last 2 games. Get out of town and don't come back!!

Hopefully all in the A&M Organization have learned a lesson...we pay you, you better be loyal. If you're out shopping for the next gig and I catch wind, you're gone!

Hard time establishing the run, putting Reed in tough situations which exploited his issues (bad footwork, bad decisions), and overall we were really just predictable.

I also dont think we utilized some of our bench players like we could have.

Can't fire someone for job hunting.

Can fire someone for poor performance or having an undisclosed conflicting interest (e.x. another job with a direct competitor)

Because the last two teams we played exposed our sub-par OL & DL….

Honest question. Not trying to run down the players. But how many players, on our offense, have the potential to be difference makers at the next level?

Please explain. The laziest argument in football is to blame the OC.

Our offense the last two games was a shell of itself with no creativity and no gameplan to attack the other team's weaknesses. Signs all point to the man in charge not being as focused as he was the rest of the year.

The heck you can't. Common practice in for profit companies. Being disloyal is a ticket out the door. Immediately a termination for cause.

No serious threat in the running game.

Entertaining better offers on your own time is not being disloyal.

Declining performance while entertaining offers on your own time is cause.

If you disagree, I'll bet your employees don't know what they're worth, and you're making them too frightened to find out.

We stopped playing the bottom half of the SEC

Bull***** SC is bottom of bottom and we looked like **** the entire first half cuz Klein already was finalizing everything.

Our offense had literally no design, chemistry or creativity like it did from ND game up until SC.

He should have been let go as soon as he accepted the job. He hurt Reed the past few weeks.

Also, losing Moss finally caught up with us and become too one dimensional against good run D's.

Agree. He stopped putting in the work and should have been shown the door.

well, if you're a manager in a competitve industry and you're out going on interviews and taking phone calls the week before an important deliverable, you should be shown the door or your boss made a big mistake.

If it's not interfering with your work and you're on your own time your boss has no say.

God I love when people try to compare college football to typical jobs, or life in general.

It's fantastic.

Anybody have a comment about a verbal commitment being like an engagement?

Klein's brain worms only activate when he calls plays against an orange team.

Is the comparison wrong? We scored 3 points at home lol
Give me the guy who shoots for excellence and fails over the guy who shoots for mediocrity and succeeds.
