Look at the who Miami has played since SMU.

Defense In order of NCAA ranking:

Pitt- 71
NC State- 92
VT- 106
Syracuse- 130

These are the offenses:

Pitt- 17(Very good, but terrible at giving up sacks-108 in sacks per drop back)
NC State- 46
VT- 114
Syracuse- 118

Miami has done what they are supposed to do and dominated, but woof this is really bad.

Yep

It's amazing the scrutiny A&M gets about the schedule but no other teams do

Texas tech gets a free pass for playing one of the worst schedules of all the playoff teams

pointing out other teams have easy schedules doesnt make our schedule less easy. That said, we should win this game, and we had a very favorable schedule this year.

They are no better than LSU, Notre Dame, Mizzou, Texas.

We beat all but one of those.

Well, we both played ND, after that we played a much more difficult schedule. We will easily be the best team Miami has played other than ND. Conversely we have played numerous teams as good as Miami or at least with certain units and players as good as Miami, IMHO. Advantage aTm.

The difference is that every crap record team we played this year has more talent than 80% of the Big 12 or ACC teams. The reason they ended with bad records was due to crap coaching/losing the team. We were still lining up against elite athletes, which is something Miami cannot say.

Thats not even a question.

The "experts" who are saying our schedule was easy are the same ones who had Texas #1, Penn State #2, Notre Dame #6, LSU #9, Florida #13, South Carolina #15 in the preseason and Missouri ranked when we played them. It's gotten to the point with me that I usually only watch games. Sports journalism has reached the very bottom.

Yep

Miami had essentially played garbage since the nd game

None of the teams they have played since that game have as much talent as any sec team we've faced

I think there's going to be a "shock" factor for Miami when they step on the field with us and have to face the speed, size and strength we bring for a full 60 minutes

I know Miami beat ND but they are not better than ND. Here's why I think this:
1. That was Carrs first ever start. He is a much different QB now than the first game. Beck was a seasoned veteran at that point.
2. Miami had a very fortunate (albeit incredible) catch to score a TD with 12 seconds left in the half. Beck throws it up for grabs and the WR makes a one handed catch and falls into the end zone between 2 defenders. Great play but probably only happens 10 times out of a 100.

I think Miami won that game due to circumstance and probably loses if they played again later in the season.

I agree with putting Miami over ND because of the head to head but I think ND is overall better.

The best way to get this "easy schedule" BS out of everyone's mouths is to win 4 more games. Start with Miami.

hopium is flowing on this Monday morning.

Miami is 10-2 ranked 10th in the nation. There is not another team we have played and/or beaten that is above that ranking.

The idea that Miami is not better than LSU, Texas, Mizzou yada yada yada is patently absurd.

Conversely, We are also the best team they have played and/or beat

its a pickem game, will come down to what QB plays up to their potential

Have you guys played sports before? When you have two good teams, or players in an individual sport, you shouldn't win 100 out of 100 times. There are factors inside of each game that make or break that game individually. In my opinion, if we played Texas 100 times, Texas would probably win 55-60 of them. I think if ND and Miami played 100 times, ND would probably win 60-70 of them.

You conveniently left the end of my post out where I say I agree that given the head to head matchup and them being next to each other in the rankings, you have to give the edge to Miami otherwise there's no point in playing the games.

There are certainly teams in the playoffs that had easier schedules.

That said, in terms of SEC teams, we had the easiest road. Still think we are a solid team, just not sure if we are Georgia's level.

Per ESPN Strength of Schedule for Playoff Teams (excluding JM & Tulane)

Alabama - 6
Oklahoma - 12
Oregon - 16
A&M - 18
Georgia - 20
Ohio State - 27
Indiana - 30
Ole Miss - 40
Miami - 45
Texas Tech - 54

I don't know if that includes Conference Championship Games.

Unfortunately, I think Miami is really really good.

They stepped on their own dicks after listening to their fat girlfriends early on. The only reason they have two losses is a hilarious amount of miscues and turnovers vs Louisville and SMu when statistically they were a superior team. And both were close. SMU went OT. Against LV threw inexplicably 4th pick on way to win or tie that game.

If we can't make them mess up their are a force. This will not be easy.

But we still bring a higher level of speed, size and physicality to the table that Miami doesnt see on a routine basis

LOL….losing to a team means they're better than you. There's no "well…if we played 100 times, we'd win 51, so we're really better than you". That's the dumbest, weakest smack talk ever.

We played as many road games in between Halloween and Thanksgiving than Georgia played the entire season. Georgia played 3 real games and got all 3 at home.

We'd be 12-1 with their garbage schedule.

We DEFINITELY had a easy schedule. SO did everyone else. That's why there's so many 10 and 11 win teams. The conferences are SO big, we all passed around the dregs and beat them without facing each other.

We'll find out soon enough.

They are better than you that day, for sure. Sometimes the lesser team wins. That is sport. Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer in the world, yet he does not win every single tournament.

I'd probably say the New York Giants weren't better than the undefeated Patriots yet they won the Super Bowl.

I don't think they'll be shocked, as they did play ND and they are very talented. But if they had played our schedule, I think they'll 9-3 or worse.
