I've got the sinking feeling that Miami is going to be more motivated than we are.
I'm still in disbelief of our lack of desire play in the second half against the sips.
Miami is motivated to prove that their getting into the playoffs over Notre Dame was no fluke.
I hope I'm wrong and that we come out ready to play all 4 quarters.
We shall see.

You Aggie fans need to man up. WTF? Youre scared of Miami? Miami has only played one ranked team and that is my Notre Dame. Every other team on their schedule was unranked by the end of the year. They are the only team to be in the playoffs and have two losses to unranked teams. I came to this site and showed respect and you Aggie fans **** on my Irish but thats OK. We'll see how ya'll do but ya'll should at least beat Miami. Notre Dame went through Indiana, Georgia and Penn State in the playoffs last year and made the Natty and lost by 11 to Ohio State....lets see what A&M's got tis year. Have faith in your team for ****sake.

What have we done in the last 30 years to justify an attitude of "Alpha Swagger" when it comes to winning the big game that sets you up to win the big hardware? What did we do on Thanksgiving? Just more of the same.

This season has been more successful than any dreamed but we still haven't proved we can win the biggest games that get you to the biggest stages to win some hardware.

Random numbers are random. Though we have been hit or miss in playing a complete game with Carolina game being closer to a miss.

Yeah man, hard to believe those you're referring to are actual fans of the program. For those that rejoice in all things negative Aggie football past, present and future, I'd probably respect them more at this point if they are long con trolls than the self pitying, entitled losers they come across as.

What is wrong with people whining and complaining about the kickoff time?!? This is the first ever playoff game in Kyle Field. If the network announced it started at 8:00am, the 12th Man would be expected to show up IN FORCE and be louder than they've ever been.

Look, this is the same slot Michigan plays Ohio State every year. The time slot should not matter. A&M had 106K there even for the Samford game. I expect a tremendous turnout.

I don't think we are going to win.

Some of that is BAS, but some is how we looked to end the season, and frankly even how we looked beating mostly bad teams throughout the season.

We are a tough defense first team that needs to control the tempo and not turn the ball over. We could grind out a 28-24 win or get run off the field by an explosive team.

Hopefully we show up with the size and athletic advantages that I remember from when we were in the Big12 and would get mauled in bowls by SEC teams

I do tend to be glass half empty. But being realistic: i do think we can't then the ball over -2 times vs Miami. We also would be at a huge advantage if we can play from ahead and keep Marcel feeling loose.

Playing from behind and forcing Marcel to make multiple reads and 20 yard throws is not going to work out for us.

Most people would say: if we win, it's 28-24, 31-28. Whereas if Miami wins, it feels like 41-28 or 38-28.

I will say this one last time.

Look at the defenses Miami has played since SMU.

In order of NCAA ranking:

Pitt- 71
NC State- 92
VT- 106
Syracuse- 130

These are the offenses:

Pitt- 17(Very good, but terrible at giving up sacks-108 in sacks per drop back)
NC State- 46
VT- 114
Syracuse- 118

Miami has done what they are supposed to do, but woof this is really bad.

Miami has played 4 top teams with top 50 ranked defenses.

The haven't scored more than 30 points against any of them:

ND: 13th
FSU: 43rd
Lville: 35th
SMU: 33rd

Points Scored
Vs ND: 27
Vs FSU: 28
Vs LVille: 24
Vs SMU: 21

The Ags are ranked 41st in total defense.

https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/years/2025-team-defense.html

A&M's total offense is ranked 14th. Miami hasn't played a top 15 ranked offense since September.

I would be very surprised with Miami putting up 41 points.

Optimism: Miami is a good team, but inconsistent and emotional. If you watched the SMU game you can see that they have a tendency to fold when momentum isn't on there side. If SMU can bully them at their tiny stadium, I think Aggies and Kyle Firld can do the same.

On the plus side it'll be a 10am game for Miami. But I am not sure how big the student section will be given it's after finals, the dorms will be closed, and overall will be difficult for them to show up.

Will be good for the BCS economy though.

College football news is one of my favorite sites, they predict a 27-24 Miami win:

https://collegefootballnews.com/college-football/miami-vs-texas-am-prediction-cfp-first-round

Miami at Texas A&M Prediction, Betting Lines

Whose lines will win?

Both teams are loaded, both are better than their seeding, and both have the coaching and playmakers to take over the game for stretches.

Both teams can get to the quarterback, and both can fly all over the field. However ...

Texas couldn't run on anyone. It ran on Texas A&M.

The defenses will hold up in key spots and force plenty of field goals, and neither side will take too many chances. Both teams will want to control the clock, keep the mistakes to a minimum, and only open it up once in a while just to throw a curveball.

Here's the other funky thing - it's an early kickoff. The A&M crowd will be jacked, but it should be just a wee bit different than it would've been if this were a primetime kickoff - which it totally should've been, but the Bears and Packers will command too much attention.

It'll come down to one third down pass to seal the win, and Beck will throw

Miami 27, Texas A&M 24
Line: Texas A&M -3.5, o/u: 51.5
ATS Confidence out of 5: 2
Must See Rating: 6

ResLife at TAMU houses around 11,000 students. There are 79,000 kids at A&M. That leaves 68,000 kids in apartments and houses around College Station. The student section will be packed
