The largest NIL deal at SFA is probably a few Raising' Cane's gift cards. I'm watching as maybe some small college predominately Texas kids can pull off an upset in that 40 degree frozen tundra in Bozeman, Montana.

I worked with AD Robert Warren Hill at the local radio station… The 'Jacks were always a top 5 national NAIA basketball power, but were always pretty second tier in football.

40 in Bozeman is nothing. Damn near hot. It's 35 degrees colder with a foot of fresh snow on the ground 2 hours east.

If MSU and Montana both win, the game next weekend will be wild.

Did my graduate work there. Naconowhere is a pretty nice place to live, and when I was a student, the Lady Jacks had won 86 home games in a row. They were always the real draw back in the day.

Good point! As a TAMU System member let's go Tarlton! Mostly Texas kids as well I'm sure.

I'm still refusing to acknowledge SFA is technically part of the t.u. System as of a few years ago. Such a bad decision - I'm going to ignore it.

I went to a funeral for a work buddy up there and was shocked by how packed the church was and how many people knew each other.

They have a hell of a coach. Won the DII natty at A&M Commerce before going to SFA

Besides being an A&M system school, Tarleton has one other connection with A&M, their BB coach is none other than former A&M BB coach BCG.

I did not know that!! Tarleton basketball added to my watchlist.

Aggie football related as BCG was our preview of JFF.....I wish them both the best given the stellar moments they provided our programs, as imperfect as they may be.

When was that? Other than last ywar, they've been pretty goof and are currently projected as the slc tourney team.

They also have a pretty badass practice facility they built off of little walkers team

Hell yeah! They are on big ESPN. Good football so far.

Google "SFA basketball probation". Forfeited wins, conference championships, scholarship reductions and the dreaded "lack of institutional control". Perhaps they are recovering but it was a setback.

I went to their playoff game last week against Abilene Christian. Really good game. Can't beat $10 tix on the 50 yard line, 15th row!

SFA has been nationally televised before, the first time I remember was 1989 against Georgia Southern for the 1AA championship game. A lot of good players off that squad. RB- Larry Centers was drafted by the Cardinals and went on to a great NFL career. QB- Todd Hammel was drafted to the NFL and they had a Safety that was drafted by the Giants...can't remember his name.

The franchise Laynes that are popping up everywhere are way better than the original in CS, which was/is complete garbage.
