Pretty sure their interim coach is another Harbaugh hire. Whoever they hire permanently for that gig, it needs to be someone from outside, and all of the current staff needs to go. Michigan always prided itself on being a class institution. They've been turning a blind eye for a long time, and this is an opportunity for it to stop.

Weiss is the one who hacked 100K student athlete accounts looking for photos, etc, correct? If true, how the hell did he get access to so many.....are there even 100K student athletes in the country over the last decade?

I would think, though, that threatening the life or wellbeing of a woman gets you arrested no matter how old she is.....assuming that's what happened.

And if you gave the Death Penalty to every school where a coach got outed for having an extramarital affair with somebody at the office or connected in some way to the athletic department, how many schools would eventually start queuing up on that suggested Death Penalty list?

Just off the top of my head I can think of a handful of other cases over the years at other schools.

Really, what was unique about this Michigan case isn't the extramarital affair, it was his meltdown and arrest and criminal charges stuff that happened after he got fired. That was the unique part. But a coach shooting a hole in his career by having an affair with somebody at the office. We've seen that kind of thing plenty of times in sports, pro and college.

This comes off like you have no idea how something like this is supposed to work in big organizations.

Getting appropriate levels of HR, in house council, administration, BOR, etc. to check all the boxes and avoid a wrongful termination suit for a 50 million dollar contract and impact on a 500 million dollar department isn't quick if done properly.

A week is in that situation.

The woman broke up with him on Mionday.

He didn't react well and was 'stalking' and harassing her with a bunch of messages and phone calls, etc.

She reacted by going to the university on Wednesday and gave them ironclad evidence of the affair as well as his behaviors.

They fired him that same day and then he went crazy.
