Its estimated that techs matador club spent $7mm on their Dline alone. It looks like 8 of the 11 starters on Defense are portal additions.

Portal opens the 2nd of January....Hoping for some nice additions to our roster in the middle of our playoff run.
Couple of fast LBs would be nice.

Is there a ranking of NIL spend or something like that? Do we actually know what people are spending?

You can check the numbers here-

https://www.on3.com/rivals/rankings/industry-team/football/2026/

I have no idea how accurate it is.

I think we should know if they're employees of a public institution. I don't care if my salary is published.

They aren't employees, kids getting NIL have to file as Self Employed like 1099 contractors basically.

I know they're not employees of the companies they do NIL deals with. But they're also getting NIL checks from a public institution and being given a. free scholarship. I think it's in the public's interest and fanbase's interest to know what their income is while they're in college at a public university. You don't have to agree with me.

Excuse my ignorance. I was a math major, but know little of accounting.

For tax purposes, is the imputed value of the scholarship for an athlete with NIL money also considered to be 'income'?

Sometimes if you want a different answer, you have to ask a different question.
