Running back from my alma mater is the first rb in that storied program to hit 2000 yards in a season and holds the all time career rushing record in WOS history. He's a junior. Not sure what his grades are like, but we need to go after this kid.

KC is not a running back. Bad example.AgLA06 said:soleta27 said:

I'm always dismayed at the over infatuation of size for skill players. All the big schools put a lot of emphasis on this and multiple weeks each year we watch "undersized" kids running through their big defenses because they are quicker and can change direction faster.
Their team gets blown out because they are overmatched, but it doesn't mean the star smaller player can't play with the big boys.
KC Concepcion was only 5'-8" and 160 coming out of high school.

The career rushing record for WOS is quite an accomplishment. They've had ALOT of talented athletes over the years. They've also had some good kickers, SawEmOff! Hope youre doing well!

I wouldn't write him off because of his measurements, certainly not as a junior. Height isn't as big an issue for an RB as it would be at WR or CB. I'd look at his capacity to put on some weight, how big is his dad, brothers, etc., does he have the frame to carry more weight. As someone mentioned, a look at his competition may say something, not only district but how well he has done, or does, in the playoffs against better competition. Speed, acceleration, being shifty are attributes that might sell me on a smaller than optimal guy.
