One of two outcomes seems likely…

Either…

1. We drop out of the top 8 and have to travel in the first round of the playoffs. Or

2. We host Notre Dame in the first round

Both are equally bad IMO. I'll believe it when I see it that some other outcome occurs. But if it doesn't, I think we likely lose in either of these two scenarios. Which then calls into question just how successful this season can be viewed.

I highly doubt a regular season rematch is in store for round 1. Iirc, the committee even changed seeding in the 4 team playoff to prevent rematches

7 or 8 and host.

Ole Miss will be the 6, surely. Unless docked for their coach leaving. We looked so bad tonight, that we blew our chance at playing the crappy 11 or 12 seed too.

We will play Notre Dame or Alabama now, unless Alabama or OU lose tomorrow.

When push comes to shove and the committee has to make matchups work… we will get the shaft. If that means a first round rematch, so be it.

5 or 6 is pretty certain. We have a better win than either Ole Miss, Tech, or Oregon and a loss on the road in a rivalry game.

need to cheer for Washington and Auburn tomorrow

otherwise the #6 seed is out of reach

Ags will drop behind Georgia, Tech, Ole Miss, and Oregon

the issue is recency bias unfortunately

losing late in the season is not good

What a bunch of P*ssies on here.

We beat Notre Dame at Notre Dame but because ND beat up on a bunch of scrub teams the rest of the year you are afraid to play them at Kyle????

lol. We'd probably lose to Pitt and SoCal or even if not. ND looks better than us.

In case you haven't been paying attention… and you clearly haven't… ND is playing very good football right now. And we are not. You can name call all you'd like, but it won't change that fact.

We just played our worst game of the year but it was on the road and actually meant much more for them than us.

OU lost worse than we did to that same team.

Do you think the last game played is how every game is played thereafter??? Give me a break! Every week is a new week.

sips aremuch better than numb nuts on here are giving them credit.

We can beat any team we play in the first round.

But go ahead and go cry to your momma. Maybe you can watch Brokeback Mountain again.

Hopefully at some point you can man up and realize the season is just beginning.

Tech's only loss is because they had to use their backup QB. Oregon's only loss is to #2 Indiana. Ole Miss beat OU on the road and barely lost to Georgia. Their best win is better than our's according to the literal rankings.

We'd probably be an underdog against Notre Dame no matter how much you think otherwise.

You talk a tough internet game… but this team would be an underdog against anyone on the road in the first round… and a big underdog against ND home or away. And we'll probably only be a slight favorite if we host against anyone not named ND. .

But again.. if you aren't paying attention I'm sure you'll fight back against these facts.

So you think a 2-loss OU team should jump us.

So you make excuses for them when their Qb actually plays but don't care that Moss has been out?

I choose not to be a complete whiner like you and think the season is over.

If we lose the 1st playoff game then whining is fine but you are acting like we already lost.

If you think what you say, that the season in over, then quit freakin posting and watching.

Agreed. We'll get a home game. I hate the sips, but there are a lot of folks posting with their emotions.

The rest of the country just sees the loss as a quality road loss against the preseason #1. We see it as a total implosion because we should have wipe the floor with them.

But reality is a home game. And the coaches better be aggressive no matter the matchup. Enough of the cautious approach.

Exactly… we lost A game this entire season and our fanbase is ready to throw in the towel
TexAgsSean
How long do you want to ignore this user?
We lost on the road at night by 10 points to the #16 team.

It was our first and only loss.

#4 Georgia won - they move to 3.
#5 Tech won - they move to 4.
#6 Oregon is winning - they move to 5 if they win.
#7 Ole Miss won - they move to 6.

We'll drop below those 4. If Kiffin leaves then we may not drop below ole miss.

#8 Oklahoma is tied right now. If they end up winning then they will still have 2 losses. One of them being to texas. We'll stay ahead of them.

We beat #9 Notre Dame and they have 2 losses. We'll stay ahead of them.

We should come in at #7.

As for the sips:
#10 bama needs to beat auburn
#11 BYU won
#12 Miami won
#13 Utah won
#14 Vandy needs to beat tennessee - they're currently tied at halftime. However, sips will probably jump them since they have the head to head.
#15 Michigan lost.

I could see the sips coming in at #12 or #13. Maybe higher since they beat us, OU, and Vandy. Hard to push them ahead of some of those 2 loss teams. Miami probably jumps notre dame since they've been pushing them closer in the rankings and they have the head to head.
Jimma

It's not the loss, it's the way we played. A team with a mobile QB and/or running game will be a major problem just as it has been all season. A team with a half ass passing game will be a 50/50 chance against our DBs. The wrecking crew played with a mentality of kill, blood makes the grass grow. We have not seen that mentality yet. The video of "the hit" should be played for the defense before every game.

Watching the offensive play calling makes me wonder if we are playing to win or playing not to lose. I would really like to see a different play instead of the same play that didn't work out well the previous 4-5 times it was tried. It's hard to accept this style of play when you have seen the wrecking crew play and the mentality of a Kingsbury offense.

A loss is more tolerable when the game has been a dog fight the entire game. Just my observation and opinion.

OU is losing 10-3 to a team we housed at their own stadium.

Some of you guys get such tunnel vision with the whole "We suck and everyone else is so good" schtick after we have a crap game.
