This one won't be easy, but I do think we take control late in the third, and step on their necks from there with some long, clock-eating drives. Good guys by 10.

If you don't know why people are worried, you must have lived under a rock your whole life or just became a fan of Aggie football this year
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

The sips arent bad. They get calls. We do not get calls. We are playing in Asstin

I knew I'd get a few who didn't read the post and immediately hit reply, but not the first one out of the gate.

Honestly, our best wins this year have been on the road. I feel better about our team in tough road environments tbh.

Because, some people are still desperately waiting for their I told you so moment. They want so badly to remain miserable with BAS to make themselves happy. It is beyond comprehension why they cannot be happy with an 11-0 record and have just a bit of optimism for 12-0. I guess they thrive on negativity.

Ohio State - L
Florida - L
Kentucky - play away from L
MSST - play away from L
Vandy - onside kick recovered inches OB or else possible 3rd OT game.
Georgia - L

This is not the resume of a "not bad" team. However, even if those close Ls actually were Ls, I will never be confident in a sip game.

Good luck with that.. the excessive holding will help neutralize our pass rush.

They have been extremely up and down this year. It's hard to know which sip team we play against - the one who beat Vandy and OU or the one who needed OT and idiotic opposing coach playcalling to beat UK and Miss State and who lost to UF.
Their backs are against the wall. In their minds, they can still get into the playoffs with a convincing win over us. It won't be easy.

You can easily change some of our close wins to losses too.

Plus the SEC probably believes it's better to have Alabama and Georgia in the title game.

I'd be surprised if they actually wanted that again. I think most people are pretty apathetic at this point to that matchup.

As I said, they aren't bad dont think there #17 good either. I do not think they are nearly as good as us but like you said, never be confident in a sip game especially in austin

We need all you good Ags to be buying up these overpriced cow tickets on Seat Geek!! If things go the way I think they will, the stadium will be all maroon by the 4th quarter.

I'm not worried about 'sip. I'm concerned about officiating.

Even when they aren't being corrupt, SEC officials display a disconcerting amount of sheer incompetence.

Take the script from UGA. Run the ball, involve the TEs. Control the LOS.

I would add ...bubble screen to C & C

I also love that seam route with Rueben out of the backfield

Idiot. They just don't want to be disappointed. Like history has shown for decades to be let down.

Oh good, let's resort to name calling. They absolutely are waiting for that I told you so moment, it was very evident during the uscE game. I for one have been following A&M since 1987 when my first family member went there. I have been disappointed for 38 years, I will not be this year!

I'm not worried about them marching down the field methodically, it's the big plays that seem to be our Achilles heel.

We're all worried about the nonstop swing passes to Wingo that are barely forward passes, because if they run that play 30 times, he's bound to break 1 or 2 for a TD.

you know it's just a defense mechanism for disappointment. A weaker team implosion (South Carolina) is very Aggie and would be BAS. If this Texas game was just another big game (say Georgia) and lost, not super BAS. But because this is Texas, there is BAS.

You know it's not that simple or a petty as wanting the Aggies to lose.

If we play a clean game with no major unforced errors for 4 quarters we'll win imo. Problem is we haven't done much of that and then you throw in the ref factor … should be enough to make anyone nervous. We're capable of blowing them out but being capable and actually doing it aren't the same thing. They are good enough to be a threat to our unbeaten season.

Other than Samford what was our best played game? … Ms St maybe even tho we let them hang around until q3. LSU maybe even tho we also let them hang around until Q3. Same vs Notre Dame and went down to the wire … altho at least they are a truly good team.

I dont think SEC Head Office thinks Texas can squeak into the CFP with 9-3, especially if Bama is already an at-large bid and OU isnt likely to lose this week.

The officiating may be fair.

1. Our O line has not been as good the last few weeks, and sip has a good pass rush and also excels at stopping the run.

2. Our defense has been prone to giving up some big plays, and sip has big play ability off of the quick passing game, which will also serve to neutralize our pass rush.

3. Arch is a mobile quarterback, and we lack speed at LB.

These are my biggest concerns, and I think they make for a pretty even game.

This right here. By history, which I suppose is BAS.

I've seen this all before. The hype and talk of how we're going to dominate only to watch a game that is the opposite, watching the horns play at their best, and calls that seem in their favor.

When I started school the sentiment passed down from older Ags was we always beat Texas, which was true at that time. We suffered one loss in eleven seasons. Well, we lost my first year ('95) and proceeded to win 5 and lose 13.

I have not seen very much success against Texas and it doesn't seem all that strange to worry.

But, yes I agree with Elko that we cannot judge this team by history and teams past.

Well, it's on the road, they usually (always) get the favorable calls when playing us, they have to win to have any hope of making the playoffs, they are a top 20 team, it's a rivalry game where anything can happen and oh yes even though we took a hiatus we have not beaten them since 2010. I am sure this will be a hard-fought victory, but we have to start strong, play mistake free football and force arch into some bad decisions.

Historically, we just play overly tight against them and make critical mistakes. It's like our players are too tense and worried about losing because they know how much the game means, and it ends up biting us. And that has seemed to be the case throughout the decades regardless of how good we are.
