Is he going to play in some capacity. He could make a huge difference for us.

Everyone has been counting the days for Moss' return since he went out. Have we really missed him that much. I don't feel like we've missed a beat without him. Bussey, morrow, and smith have been doing fine. Also, I feel a bit tentative letting moss knock the rust off against ut.

Save him for the playoffs, no need to get him re-injured in a meaningless game.

I do hope you are joking about thinking it's a meaningless game

Yes, we have missed him a lot. Reuben, Smith, and Morrow are fine, but Leveon consistently gets more yards than are blocked. He anticipates blocks better, and he puts his foot in the ground and goes when he anticipates an opening. Hard to teach that.

Like I said, those other guys are good: Reuben in the open field, EJ in short yardage, and Morrow kind of a good mix, but Lev is our most complete back.

Agreed... I will say though that Reuben has upped his game in Moss' absence.

Moss is a really great short yardage back. Love having him when we need 3 or 4 yards.

It's all hands on deck come Friday. Everyone's ready.

There is a reason he was RB1 currently we have enough depth and the OLine is good enough that RB2-5 can get it done

I don't think the horns are a great team but they are the best team we've played since UF and that was a long time ago

When Moss is ready and if he's near 100% The good guys can definitely use him

I doubt we see him play any longer. He's injury prone plus he hasn't seen much game experience. Dance with who brung us!

Moss is our most patient back - possibly his best trait.

There's nothing "meaningless" about a game against t.u.

Moss will be one of the 3 backs that get over 100 yards this Friday.

If he's fully healthy then would love to see him back, we were excited last year for Owens to play vs Texas and I wouldn't say he was fully healthy nor very effective. Difference this year is we aren't as desperate at RB.

It would be nice to have Moss available . Maybe let him in the game in Q4 once we're up 3 TD's + . Expecting him to step into the game and be ready to play like he was before the injury might be asking a lot but I trust our coach's know what they're doing

For the 1,000,000,000,000 time on this board. YES, Moss will be available for the Texas game.

I'm going to let you all in on a secret.... he was good to go 2 weeks ago but he's been with a QB coach refining his skills for the much vaunted goal line RB pass play.

They won't be expecting it for sure . They need to run it at least one more time in a live game to make sure they have it perfected … especially the backwards component and particularly to the short side of the field to optimize the number of defenders between passer and sideline and minimize opportunity to shake defenders in the unlikely event the pass were actually completed .

If he plays, your offense is much more dangerous.
You mean we're here? And we're supposed to be here?

Assuming he's 100% and has been in live practice enough to have his timing right .

I'd love to be wrong, but Elko's caginess on the matter makes me think we're not going to see him this week, and probably aren't going to see him again any time soon after that.

It's obvious Moss is a competitor, I believe if he's anywhere close to 100% he will get playing time. It's apparent we are not in a dire need for him to play 30+ snaps with our RB depth. But I highly doubt if able, he sits on the sidelines for this game again.

He faked out everyone including Luicci and Co. if true, because everyone is talking like he'll be available to play.

Obviously, if he plays then he probably isn't going to get a full starter's workload of snaps, but at this point I'd personally be moderately surprised if he doesn't see some snaps on the field. The message has been pretty consistent for awhile now that he'd be ready for Texas. And he's been practicing.

When the SEC Student Athlete Availability Report comes out, just look and see if Moss is still in the OUT. If not, well there you go.

Have any of you guys ever had a high ankle sprain?? It literally takes weeks to heal! (don't ask me how I know). 4 weeks may or may not be long enough. I guess we'll find out Friday evening.

It has been like 48 days since his injury so pretty sure he has had plenty of time to heal. The question will be if he is in game shape.

Will be 6 weeks almost 7 weeks by the 28th. So hopefully we see him out there at 100%. Thats my hope anyway.

Florida game where he was injured was 7 weeks before Texas game. Which lines up with typical healing time from a high ankle sprain. Plus, word is he was participating in practices last week. Plus Elko himself in presser a week ago said that Moss was looking good to return before end of regular season. So...

IIRC, Anderson was the only one listed as OUT for Samford. And we'll get him back for the playoffs.
