it's the best 5 conference winners that get the auto bid. There's a world where the Sun Belt Champion (JMU) and the American Champion (Tulane/North Texas) are ranked higher than the ACC Champ and both get in with the ACC getting no auto bids unless Miami at an at large (which will be tough)

I'm all for the chaos

While SMU winning the ACC CG and end up being ranked lower than Sun Belt and American CCs would be hilarious, it's doubtful the committee would allow that to happen.

That's tough, but it would be the best win in that bottom group of the playoffs. I would say between 8-10. If Michigan beats OSU it gets even tougher. Big 12 really should only get Tech in. We could be on the border of hosting a playoff game if we lose.

As far as games on right now goes, the gators have mailed it in. Tennessee is not that good this year and they just dominated Florida in the first half.

Sip will move up to 14, passing Vandy bc of the head to head. Ignore BYUs result tonight bc a win over us would justify moving passes both BYU and Utah. But unless there is justification for hopping Alabama or Notre Dame they are first team out.

Penn State taking Nebraska to the woodshed. Matt Rhule is the king of getting great new contracts. He did a great job at Temple and at Baylor then moved to the NFL with a 6 year contract then got hired at Nebraska and just re-upped his contract. He sure knows knows how to leverage his early coaching success from Temple and BU.
