Im old enough to remember a week ago when the Louisiana governor said they were going to be fiscally responsible and weren't going to sign a big contract like they did for Brian Kelly.

Agree. Very bad optics. But I understand the AD's reasoning here. Ole Miss has an outside chance of making the CCG which would be a virtual lock into the playoff. But that is also assuming the CFP Committee stays the course and doesn't penalize them for losing the CCG or for losing their HC.

This year, that's a big assumption, IMO. Don't trust them at all.

No, we are playing LSU in Baton Rouge again next year. We are playing 4 SEC home games because of an additional home game against Arizona State, giving us 5 home games against Power 4 teams. Playing 4 SEC home games resulted in playing road games at LSU and Missouri in back-to-back years to evenly split the 6 rotating SEC opponents, but I am glad we are not playing a road game at Texas in back-to-back years.
