I don't expect these things to move as quickly in the NIL era. In the old system, a school fires their coach and their commitments could recommit anytime, or immediately. Now, even if a recruit wants to recommit, they'll likely wait to announce it AFTER they secured a deal somewhere else.

LSU has a very senior DL that has massively underachieved this year. If he goes to LSU he's going to be playing with a bunch of guys from the portal. Everyone is saying LSU's offense is the issue but I'd argue their defense has been more disappointing. Harold Perkins was unstoppable as a freshman and has gotten worse every year since. It was shocking how poorly he played Saturday. They also wasted one of the best best secondaries is the SeC.
