Kiffin is going to be tele-coaching 7 SEC teams and Penn State next year.
All these programs won't be poaching HCs from other programs. OC and DCs are going to get offers. I REALLY hope they throw a big raise at Klein here
Dan Mullen is gonna get another look. And some assistants are gonna get promoted. Manny Diaz likely gets some calls.

If Klein wants to be a head coach this is probably going to be the best market he'll ever see. We can try to hold him, but it's hard to begrudge him taking a job, even for less money, if it's his ultimate goal.

I think Franklin has corn dogs in his future. He's probably willing to take a lower $ package because of the off set clause in his buyout with Penn St.

How are the buyouts affected when a coach takes a new job. I am sure they are all different. I can see new coaching hires contracts being backloaded so that previous school will foot part of the bill on new contracts.

If Brian Kelly is fired without renegotiaton then he is paid LSU buyout minus new gig's pay.

Itll be interesting to see how the layout changes when teams consistently lose 4-5 games a year in the NIL and expanded conference era

Yeah I think Franklin ends up in the SEC at probably at LSU or Florida.

I agree and he is really young. Not sure he is ready to make that leap. He would probably be better equipped learning from Elko for another couple of years.

Good call - Arky in particular is exactly the right combination of stupid and desperate to hire Franklin.
Given Cignetti's success some small school coaches that have won will get a chance.

Becoming a head coach in NIL times is very difficult and still new.
You don't go from being a top paying program to trying out a completely new head coach that has not managed a program these days unless your new hire is also going to give up a good deal of control as the head coach

I agree. He needs to show what he can do as a head coach at a smaller program, or just needs to keep doing what he's doing successfully for much longer - ala Kirby Smart.
I could see Clark Lea getting calls from a couple of the schools. If he can do what's he's doing at Vandy think what he could do at a school with more resources.

Fair… but we know that's not how college football hires works.
And… Florida fired Napier not for losing big games… but just for losing games. You might have a point on LSU… but Florida just needs somebody to come in and brea the a semblance of life and professionalism back in to their program. Florida haven't had a very memorable season for like 6 or 7 years now.
