Number of 75 yard touch down runs…

UTSA 1
A&M 0

This is a concern.
Nothing says excellence like a Blue Diamond

UTSA's running back was a grown man

That "grown man" played all of last year and rushed for over 75 yards just three times in 13 games (against Houston Christian, North Texas, and Temple).

This game was easily the best performance of his career. We might have made him look like an NFL running back, but that doesn't mean he actually is one

Why was the defense so unsettled before each and every play?

I think because their offense on Saturday looked a lot different than anything we'd seen on film. York said in the post game that they were having to adjust for the fact that they weren't really getting the same looks that they'd schemed for all week.

Second half defense was worlds better after we'd had a chance to respond to what they were doing.

If UTSA could figure out how to gash the Ag defense with limited resources and talent, imagine what Notre Dame is going to draw up with better coaches, more scouts, and much more talented players. Hint: it aint gonna be the same plays UTSA ran.

Just sayin.

The problem wasn't defense. Elko and Company actually changed something at halftime and we shut them down after the one play.

The problem was we couldn't run. Did UTSA sell out to stop the run? I dont know but it is what i would have done. And our receivers could make up for Reeds inaccuracies. We DID get better at reciever. Time will tell about the run.

For what it is worth the players appeared to be not taking the game seriously.....Celebrating and clowning around is okay after the game is over...During the game I wish they would have been all business....A lot of good plays but too much clowning around....Not the mark of a team that is going far....Hopefully, the Aggie coaching staff will address this issue with the players...

If they allow it now it will be allowed all season. It ain't gonna stop and this type of play is going to continue!

Our main backs ran the ball 11 times. We elected not to run. No reason to risk injury in these games.

No, the problem was the same as last year, safeties and LBs taking crap angles and not making tackles. Plus, the dline was getting moved off the ball in the first half.

The offense scored 42 pts.
