I see 2 teams that will play hard enough and have enough talent to jump up and maybe steal a game vs an elite team but otherwise be a good, but not great team.

Not impressed. Stop Arnold's ability to run and make him throw. Their slot corner is not good. Put KC in the slot and its a long day for Auburn. Their run defense on the edge looks very suspect. All in all A&M should handle Auburn. Guess we shall see.

I stand by what I said earlier; Aranda is an idiot continuing to run 2 high safeties when they're gashing them on the ground.

That said, we sucked against them last year defensively, so I hope Elko has a much better plan for stopping them than Aranda on the ground. Sure, they have good receivers, but I don't have confidence that the QB can get to them when he is rushed correctly (i.e. controlled rushed to prevent scramble yards).

Defensively, we'll need to be balanced. They held Gaylor to 68 yards rushing, but also gave up ~400 yards in the air.

Moral of the story, Baylor lost the game; Auburn did not win it.

Baylor outgained Auburn 483 total yards to 415 total yards, but Auburn outrushed Auburn 307 to 64 and had a 33:18 time of possession. Also, Baylor squandered two scoring opportunities from the Auburn 3-yard line with 6:27 left in the 1st quarter and from the Auburn 11-yard line with 1:11 left. As a result, Auburn started the season with a road win in a Friday night game and snapped Baylor's 6-regular season game winning streak.

Baylor's WR, #2, is a pretty good player.

Game Note: Watch for the QB draw up the middle! Control the line of scrimmage.

1st game is typically the worst for almost all teams....Aub will be better and pass better. Hate that all will project that out (not a big enough body of work yet). Aub was a worse team last year and we didn't beat them...that's all you need to know so last night means they have improved.

Let's see how rusty we look vs. an inferior opponent as guarantee we'll have some issues to fix after week 1 (part of the cycle).

If we can't stop the run, it will be a long day against AU.
