We all recognize that college sports are entertainment. Entertainment is a business designed to make money either for the entities that own the business or, in the case of college sports, the players and coaches. That being said, the amount of press covering the ways schools are trying to make more money to cover bloated coaching salaries and the new athlete payrolls in astounding. I thought it would be interested to start a list here of the different ways that A&M, and other schools, have found to increase their revenue.
I will update the completely subjective top 5 as I feel like it.
1. UNC Football 25% price hike. Worse than A&M's staff slash to pay Jimbo?
2. Tennessee Talent Fee. So blatant I think we like it.
3. Ohio State Handicap parking up triple???
4. A&M Poncho Shirt. $45 for theBlock Beveled "T."
