All Texas A&M fans and especially donors are entitled to know what Jerome Myles orders at Whataburger, because he is a professional football player, and we pay his salary. Texas A&M should issue a press release and disclose his full order, including condiments and whether or not he upgrades to a large drink. He might be 18, but he's an adult who took money to play a sport, and many people have a vested interest in his late night cravings and the performance of the team. The NFL ensures everybody is apprised of player health issues, and it should be the same in college for Whataburger runs.

In case you missed the memo, we don't have to pretend these guys' orders are "private meals" anymore. You can stop with the "boohoo he's only a college kid, let him eat in peace" BS.

I have pretty much stopped going to Whataburger. I usually end up getting 1 decent burger for every 6-8 that I buy. It's especially frustrating when I work so hard to stay on my diet and I finally get a cheat day and want a burger. Just had to stop going to Whataburger. Fortunately, I have a Smashburger and Five Guys both within 1 block of my house. Unfortunately, my burger runs usually happen on the weekend after 10pm, so my choices for a good burger are limited inside the loop.

Whataburger is definitely not the same anymore. Very sad, because it used to be so good and used to be my favorite fast food by far.

The problem is the diet. Not Whatburger.

I bet you're the kind of woman that orders, "I want this and that but not this nor that on my burger."

I go to P Terry's or In and out. Skip the special sauce, add mustard and pickles. Closest thing to old Whataburger I've found.

Unless you like cold, flat hamburgers, Whataburger has always sucked.

I live out of state so I don't get there much, but it still tastes the same to me.

Maybe you guys have changed.

In n out is also good, but I lived in Cali for years before I got used to their fries.

Here on the east coast it's five guys and shake shack, which are pretty ok.

I know it's not fast food but the new Bubba's 33 has a pretty good burger and on Monday nights they've got $10 burgers with fries. Last night I got double meat and cheese bacon burger with fries. Plus they have TV screens everywhere.

I've been eating and craving Dairy Queen burgers lately. In Texas, they're underrated. Outside Texas that place sucks.

Something has not been right about Whataburger since the ownership changed. Less tasty now, and the drive-thru orders are routinely wrong.

every recent drive through order comes out soggy wet burger by time I consume once home...

I think a lot of people's experiences are the same across the fast food genre. All the places I frequent have gone down in quality of service since the pandemic.

The food at Whataburger still tastes the same to me.

Did they change the ketchup recipe? I have not noticed.

I live in South Carolina. They just built a few new Whataburgers in my area. I think they're pretty good. tastes like it always did to me. Still have the big 32oz styrofoam drink cups that come with a regular meal that hit the spot in the summer - McDs transitioned a few years ago to the thin clear plastic that doesn't have any insulation. Ketchup at Whataburger still tastes vinegarry to me so I'm not sure why yall think it's different now.

On a related note, Five guys should be calledTwenty-Five guys because it's $25 to eat there per person.

Smash burger is pretty good but my favorite quick burger joint is definitely Freddy's now.

They just built one in our town here in MO and it's trash. I'm ashamed to claim it as a Texas icon.

Lone Star Float House- on the Guadalupe, just North of New Braunfels on River Road… you will thank me later… (may be too far to drive for an after yell practice, midnight snack, though).

Same can be said for Academy, Their Hunting and Fishing Depts suck now since they were bought out by corporate.

I just thought it was cool that they gave us some recognition.

It was before they grew. Each place took pride in making their burger their way and as a kid I preferred their lettuce and tomato dressing to anything McDonald's served up. Their shakes were also distinctive though a bit more like a mix machine than hand dipped like Braum's. Not saying I go there even once a week, but I usually order a junior hamburger with bacon and jalapeños and fixings when I do go. That's still a great burger and avoids excess bread.

Whataburger has sucked for a long time. Well before the Chicago buyout.

The Whataburger near me still makes a good burger. Only thing I've noticed was last week the bun tasted more buttery than usual. Was still tasty, just a little different than usual.

Junior is the way…

Whataburger has always had a problem with consistency across locations. Some locations that have been around a long time are awesome every time and some locations are terrible. Seems like after the buyout there's even more locations that just aren't good.

This. We have several across AL now. Some are as good as I remember....some are meh....and some are trash.

It was in the 80s. Quality/consistency started falling off late 80s/early 90s.

I like the food there just fine. I don't have an issue with the highly variable order completion times, particularly in the drive thru. The one in Giddings can take 20+ minutes when there's only a few cars in the line and in the lot.

Better than Wendy' but not as good as Sonic !
