I have scars on my face from a beer bottle thrown at me from a moving car in lubbock. That said, Baylor fans are the nastiest bunch of people I have ever encountered. Vitriolic petulance personified.

LSU fans arent my favorite, but I have seen aggie fans be pretty damn embarrassing in arlington.

Tech, Colorado, LSU, Baylor are the top tier of asshat fanbases. I hear bad things about west virginia but I have never encountered them.

In recent memory it was the 2021 game vs Colorado played at Mile High. Full beer cans being thrown and the amount of fights instigated by CU students was off the charts. Never will do a CU away game again. No thanks.

I'll second that. The "adult" cu fans downtown were all apologizing and said they had the worst student population in the country. They were awful and a group of complete pusses.

My oldest daughter went to Mines in Golden and second one starts there in the fall. It's amazing to me how little respect they give CU. They talk about them like the entire school rode the short bus to class that morning.

You mean they all didn't ride the short bus?

Tech fans are the worst in the Big 12. Colorado and West Virginia can give them a run for their money, but nobody revels in their classlessness than Tech people.

LSU is number 1, and in second by a long distance, Arkansas, in the SEC. Tech and LSU fans that mate together would bring up future prison residents, no doubt.

I'm told Wisconsin and Ohio State fans are bad up in the B1G. Miami holds it own special place for awful in the ACC.

LSU, 1988, in Crapton Rouge. I was with the 12th Man Foundation so we had our own buses to the game. We lost, bigly. After the game, there was a long line of LSU 'fans' between the exit and our bus. They taunted us as we walked to the bus, no big deal.

Then the bottles started flying.

Empty liquor bottles going over our heads and smashing on the pavement. So, we started running to the buses, while the fans closed in behind us. They got on each side of our bus and started rocking it back and forth. The bus driver was so frightened he told us he didn't think he could pull out with all of the people surrounding the bus and with it rocking. Lots of those fans were kids.

I will never forget, forgive, or give one ****e about LSU and their fans ever again.

Texas 1982 - they scattered us out with no real A&M section…….

2010 Ags at Whorns

Sitting there with wife and two friends (I was wearing Aggie gear, wife was neutral, one female friend in Aggie gear, one male friend in burnt orange).

None of us did anything over the top but when the guys behind us left before the end of the game, one of the little punks took a mustard packet and smeared on the back of my wife's jacket. When we got up to leave at the end of the game, a lady behind us pointed it out and told us that the guy did it and then took off running.

Whoever said LSU was a great fan experience……clearly y'all didn't have the "pleasure" of visiting in the 80s/early 90s and having sh*t thrown at you the whole game and having your car vandalized and crap stolen out of it
But I will agree, the worst overall fan base belongs to Ohio St. most pathetic excuses for human beings I've ever seen.
There seems to be a theme here, schools with a big tshirt/bandwagon following. Hmmm wonder why that is……..

I was at the game in 92. Had a great time. Met Shaq. Now I was there with a bunch of LSU fans that I am friends with so maybe that helps out. Going again this fall and looking forward to it.

surprisingly 1996 vs. BYU in Provo was not a pleasant experience after the game

one of my worst road experiences...

everyone remembers the 2001 game in Lubbock with the goal posts...

but the 1999 game in Lubbock -- another dreadful performance from R.C.'s offense -- was a night game

Ags were sprinting to their cars after the clock hit zero to get out of there. Most cars just drove over the grass and curbs to exit the parking lots and get to the highway

slightly off-topic...

looking back...the Big 12 era (1996-2011) was a brutal time to be a traveling aggie to football games

the Ags generally played well in Waco, Stillwater, Ames (Iowa State) and Lawrence (Kansas)...

but everywhere else -- including neutral site games and bowl games -- was very, very rough

the Ags were roadkill way too many times

Agree

Had beer bottles thrown at us in Norman. Ohio state fans at sugar bowl were a** clowns. Tech fans just never shut up. Tu fans and lsu round out my top 5. Best fan base to interact with was Virginia tech.

I was a trumpet sophomore the year Tech tore down their own goal post, and carried it across the field and tried to throw them into our section.
As they carried the goal posts towards us the drum major yells out "trumpet sophomores, protect Reveille" her handler picks her up and we formed a human wall around him fully prepared to use trumpets as weapons. The Tech fans mostly left us alone and tried to throw the field goal into the section next to us. We escorted Rev and her handler out to the buses.

All the places we traveled in the Big 12, Tech was the worst. I remember them throwing everything at us. I remember basses tipping over their instruments and coins and batteries falling out. The cops that would escort us would constantly go into their stands near us and come out with confiscated liquor.

If I recall correctly, Col Brewer said it. And reminded us he could repair horns, but not heads.

That's exactly the game I was talking about. You were lucky. Anybody who had a car there with anything A&M on it got keyed, tires flattened, many with busted windows and taillights. One young Aggie student next to where we parked had her car broken into and everything inside stolen, including a couple of textbooks she'd bought on her way out of town (which begs the question, what in the world would a swamptard do with a textbook?)

It was so bad the LSU president wrote an apology to the Batt a couple of days later

Was there in 88 too and it wasn't much better

To be fair I understand it's a bit better experience these days

Our games at Texas Tech, while wearing Aggie gear. Do not recommend. It's like a drunk trailer-park. The enjoyment of winning there without my A&M shirt on is great though, particularly once when we blew them out 15 years ago or so there.

Texas Tech in the 90s and 00s takes the cake. CU was fine for us and the SEC locations have all been good for my group.
