Reading TexAgs over the years it's obviously unpopular. I know that you can't solely rely on the Internet when trying to figure out a consensus on something, but man it sure seems like nobody likes it.

Why has the A&M Brass never read the tea leaves here and gone away from it? Seems like low hanging fruit to make fans happy.

Does anyone here like the bevel?

If you can make sense of how, when and why Texas A&M and also the athletic department do half of the things they do, you'd be a very very wise and rich man.

It was recently added to the university seal. It would cost too much money to re-design the seal and replace it across the state. It is here to stay.

We are not good at marketing or branding as university. in the 2000s we had six different logos. Now we have a beveled logo on everything except our football helmet which is the most recognizable branding tool in our toolbox. The bevel would have been fine for a secondary or tertiary logo, like the T-star, or Ol Sarge but to make it the primary logo while leaving our helmet logo the unchanged is unstable and shows a lack of forethought. One day we will have professionals running our program, until then its local yokels who are nepo hires.

Texags has right around 17,000 posters. Basing your thoughts or the University's thoughts on Texags opinion is not a sound decision.

My estimation of 17,000 is based off of a recent former player attempting to sell tickets to the tu game. He posted it and it was his first post ever. His post had one star and he was ranked 16,7?? at the time. There may be more readers that do not share the same opinions.

The bevel became the standard logo of Texas A&M in 1999. We haven't won an outright championship in football since 1998, Coincidence? I think not. Even if this isn't true, I will believe it to be true no matter what facts are presented to me that make it untrue.

I like the bevel on the T.

We are supposed to be a world class engineering school with a very respected architecture school as well, and we have a geometrically incorrect logo. Its maddening.

If we gotta bevel, at least get it right. They missed some spots and it looks dumb.

All I know is I have sweatshirt and jacket from him that have beveled logos on it, plus decals/bumper stickers with bevel. So official or not, there was a ton of them way before 1999. At any rate, I agree we haven't won anything football wise for however the official/unofficial bevel has been around.

It is kind of wild that the branding at A&M has remained this poor for this long. That's hard to do with this many alumni and this much money. I can't really think of another example.
