just for fun...going back to 2013

top 4 reception leaders:

69 - Evans
60 - Kennedy
51 - Walker
51 - Labhart

now that's a passing offense

the "4th" WR in 2013 had 12 more catches than the "1st" WR in 2024

It's definitely a run first offense. But a lot of this also has to do with QB issues and WR talent. There are multiple variables involved. Get Manziel and Evans on this offense and those numbers go up.

But no, it's not going to be like the 2013 offense regardless. It doesn't need to be. Even Georgia's national title offense was not as much of a passing offense as we were in 2012/2013.

Also, don't forget total snaps. That plays a big factor. I think that team averaged 10 more plays per game.

Also destroys your defense over the course of the season.

I miss those days. It was more of a novel offense in the SEC at the time. Now most others have moved to that and we've, well, regressed.

Hey man that's the aggie way. Find something that you do well and then stop doing it.

We stopped doing it well when we lost our 1st round QB, WRs, and OL. Ironic, isn't it? Those guys would have done any offense well.

I don't think you remember how much stress those offenses also put on our defense throughout the year. If you can't find first downs, like we were unable to from all of 2014-2017, you wear them out.

We are reminiscing about Sumlin's style of play. FFS. Damn you Fisher for even putting this in people's minds.
