He was the #1 WR at PSU, a team that made the semis and I think should have beat ND.
But if he was really good PSU would have done all they could to keep him.
He can be much better. Hope if he come here he puts it all together.
I know he was but you're acting like he won't be an improvement on what we had. At worst he would be on par with Noah which would be a huge plus.
You are acting like it is impossible to get anyone else?
I watched both play this year and Noah is a better receiver and better potential than Wallace, IMO.
You can point to stats or whatever but fact is Allar was a pretty good Qb during regular season (awful in their last) game). Noah would have been a #1 WR at PSU in 2024 and at least put up similar stats or better than Wallace did.
You may be overrating Allar a bit here. He is awful in big games. All of them not just ND. Against good power 4 teams this year PSU was 1-3 and Allar had 158.5 yards per game with 3 TDs to 4 Ints and about a 53% completion percentage. If he wasn't hitting Warren he wasn't hitting anyone. I guess when you see that it is the receiver's fault, but here when Noah Thomas doesn't put up stats it is the QB's fault?
There is also a huge chance he may not be capable of getting the ball to wide receivers. Keon Lambert-Smith went from Allar at PSU to a terrible QB situation at Auburn and doubled his TD production while gaining 308 extra yards. Wallace last year was similar to Lambert-Smith in 2023.
We get it, you know football and your wife went to PSU and you think Noah Thomas is better than Wallace. That doesn't mean Wallace would not be a great addition to our WR room.
FYI - I live in West Chester, PA and have for many years and also follow Penn St. football as does everyone around here.
