When you consider all that $$$ that UT has.....their results in the major sports are quite mediocre.

UT has one National Championship in basketball. The women won the 1985 National Title.
A&M has one National Championship in basketball. The women won the 2011 National Title.
Baylor has 4 National Championships in basketball. The men won in 2021. The women won in 2006, 2012 and 2019.

In the 21st Century (since 2000) the UT football program has had 3 first places seasons in 2005, 2009 and 2023.
In that same time period the Oklahoma Sooners have had 13 first place seasons.

Do they have more money than we do? Jimbo says hello. They definitely did not have that many BigXII championships. But, I think they had more than we did. I'm just not sure this criticism comes from a position of strength. But, whatever, I shouldn't have clicked on it in the first place (much less posted on it . . . twice, now). I'm much more interested in how we can get better with all of our money and resources and find ourselves consistently in the playoffs and top five/ten.

A&M has just as much money at Texas. A top facility with a rich alumni base. Hell, Jimbo's getting paid $26K a day until 2031. And what's there to show for it? The best recruiting class ever with consistent 8-4 seasons. Texas has won the Directors Cup three out of the last four years.
