Surprised to see TCU won the tennis national championship this year.

And 1939 was 86 years ago. Not sure this is the argument you think it is.

Football NC title from 1917 should be included also. I realize how far back this title is but this team was unscored on for the whole season, every game, as was the 1919 team. A&M should take credit for this. I bet the sips would even if they had a title from father back than that!

Of course if the UPI, organizers of the coaches poll back then, had made the choice just two years earlier to follow the AP's lead from several years before that and wait until after the bowl games to have their final poll, there would be three of them in the case. They got drilled by Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl after the 70 season.

I was down on Wade at the time for ball hogging and taking terrible shots all the time. Last season he completely turned me around, as did Buzz and this team.

You can point out the fact that TU doesn't have the championships in football to be anointed as a top 5 program year in and year out and also recognize that historically they have had more success than us. The two are not mutually exclusive.

The past 50 years Texas has 1 National Title in football and zero titles in basketball.

Also A&M is vastly behind anyone in sports because we didn't have women's sports until way later in the lifetime of the University. Our recruiting and money hasn't been there hardly at all until the 90s. We gotta look at the bigger picture if we are going to compare athletics, not just a straight head to head.
