Austin, a liberal suburb of San Francisco, has too many transgender players. Got their a**es handed to them which makes them excited.

They had, at most, exactly the same success we had in '12.

what's amazing...

the sips have won 25 games the past 2 years

but only 1 of those 25 wins is a high quality win (at Alabama last year)

they've done a great job of beating all the average to above average (8-4 / 7-5) teams on their schedule

however against top 5 or top 10 teams (per end of the season rankings)...t.u. has been bad

I'm with you. Didn't watch the game but I did watch the highlights. These two teams are well above our pay grade and it's not even close. It's fun watching them both. I'm glad Texas lost, ecstatic, but I'm not going to say it's because they weren't "sec ready". They are better prepared now than we ever have been.

I hate to say it, but Texas has been elite over the last two years:
1. Texas is 25-5 over the last two years, including 15-2 (8-1 Big 12 in 2023 and 7-1 SEC in 2024) in conference games.

2. Texas has made back-to-back conference championship game appearances and CFP semifinal appearances.

3. Texas has won an FBS leading 11 consecutive road games since a 41-34 loss at Oklahoma State on 10/22/2022.

4. Texas has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

Hopefully, Mike Elko can bring this football program to the next tier by recruiting some great players, adding key transfer portal players, and properly coaching and developing them. If Elko can do these things and retain most of the top players, we can become a great SEC team that can contend for the playoffs most years. Over the last 3 years, Texas won 10 more regular season games (Texas 30-6 to Texas A&M 20-16) than we have because they have won 11 consecutive road games, and we have lost 12 of our last 14 road games, dating back to our last two road games in 2021. Winning road games will be crucial to finishing 9-3 or better.

We can only beat Auburn when we are at home. It's crazy how the road team won the Auburn vs Texas A&M series in 8 of the first 9 years from 2012 to 2020, and the only exception was our 28-24 road loss after we blew a 24-14 lead with 5:14 left on 11/3/2018. That loss costed us a 9-3 (6-2 SEC) regular season, a NY6 bowl appearance, and potential 10-3 finish. Since 2021, the home team has won the 4 games.

Who says you're an Aggie

I don't see an act tag or Aggie ring, just a free account that posts a lot

Just because your username has HoustonAg and it doesn't mean you're an Aggie

But go ahead and go back to cheering for your rival losing in the semi playoff game while the Aggies were at home with the guys jumping in the portal

Other than the fact that they made the conference championship game this year. The 2012 team is probably our best team ever and we came in third in third place in the division.

They did not beat anyone as highly ranked or play nearly as talented a deep an SEC pool as there was in 2012. Sorry our year one was far more accomplished in many ways.

I watched the game and both teams had very equivalent athletes. Both defense was fast. Both offensive lines held up against fast defensive lines.

The difference is Howard was the better QB. Ewers just misses some easy passes.

There will be alot of NFL draft picks from both teams. That Freshman Simmons kid will be a star.

No one cares about comparative competition. The Cotton Bowl was fun, but only titles are remembered or noted by anyone except hard core fans.

We at least beat a great team. Them, not so much.

Only difference was playoff format. Which I would have loved our chances in 2012 with a format like this one.

SEC? You mean the new Sham Wow conference. There is no such thing as SEC, SEC, SEC. Ewers was great up to the point he goes full Weigman on them.

OSU vs ND for the championship. Who to despise more? It would be like the Eagles vs the Bills in the Super Bowl.

To be fair, if we had a 12 (or even 8) team playoff our first year in the sec, the Ags win a natty. We suffered our losses early in the season when JFF was just getting started.

Our first year in the SEC we had more success than they had this year. Same record and no championships. playoffs weren't around back then and we would have made it if they were. And we had a Heisman winner.

Things can change quick too.

I think some "aggies" here drink 2% milk. That steer Bevo produces a white milky substance (even though that doesn't seem physiologically possible) and I guess it may be the 2% variety. New Army. SMH. Why don't you head to Walmart this weekend and get some shirts that should be greatly discounted? The orange ones. The ones that say, the buckeyes scored twice as much as our little choking snowflakes.
In my old army mind, this rivalry is not about speaking the full honest truth in public at all times about the orange sexually perverted frat boys. It's about having fun insulting them every chance you get even if its a streatch. It's just a game. Have fun ribbing them. Get under their skin. We aren't trying to win the Nobel Peace Prize but the Natty but until that happens I may get honest in a closed inside crowd of Aggies but I am going to be insufferable to the orange communists and have fun with joking around.

End of the day our year ones will be practically identical to ours. Ranked 4/5 at the end of the year. They look like they're on an upward trajectory because of back to back 10 year runs and making the playoffs.

When will you acknowledge that schedule was handed to them! They deserve no credit! Even the playoffs Clemson, ASU, then when they actually play a good team the venue is in their backyard! Which was intentional also. Sad thing about it they have the same schedule next year.
