Noah is going to Georgia! If he turns out to be the real deal, big miss by the staff not to feed him more this year. He's a hell of a big target in the red zone. Hard to know how talented he is when he didn't get targeted very much. I know there were times he beat his man and didn't get the ball, but that does happen. We'll see. Could be a big miss, but we've got great guys coming in.

Well that sucks but we have some decent WR's picked up in the portal. It would have been nice to hang onto him but this isn't earth shattering either.

Best of luck to him and hope he is able to muster a career in the pro's. Except for when we play against Georgia in the SEC championship next season, then he can suck it.

He led the team in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns

Not a big deal

The guy made 2TDs against USC. But all I keep thinking about is the one he didn't catch.

It's a shame that is my last memory of him in an Aggie uniform. But it is.

Don't worry the portal guys we picked up who didn't do much at their old school will be so much better than our leading receiver.

Well people on here are comparing 2024 offense vs 2023.

Ainias Smith was a HUGE loss last year. I don't think N Thomas is near that level of loss but I wish he would have stayed.

But it's all good....name of the game now.

Noah had 2 big games against Arkansas and Auburn. Mostly built 1 big explosive play in each.

Otherwise he didn't go over 65 yards all season.

In 9 of 13 games, he had less than 40 yards. In 6 of the games he had 2 catches or less.

He's a nice player that is capable of a big play a few times a season. But let's not act like Noah has been an above average receiver in the majority of his games here.

Mario Craver and Kc Concepcion did pretty well at their old schools I'd say.

Georgia led all teams in drops this year.

They probably saw Noah botch the TD pass in the USC game and said that's our man!

(kidding...hate to see him go)

Concepcion and Hudson both rated a tad higher than N Thomas in portal rankings, for whatever that is worth.

Georgia also picked up Branch at WR in the portal. I bet Branch has a much bigger impact for them than Thomas. But we shall see.

Georgia led the nation in dropped passes this year. I am sure they are looking for all the WR they can get and probably really happy to land Thomas

What I was thinking. Did he not do more because he didn't catch balls thrown at him or because he was not thrown to?

So what you're telling me is without Noah Thomas we lose to Arkansas and finish with 7 wins

Concepcion had comparable stats to Thomas: 8 TD total with Concepcion have 6 receiving and 2 rushing and about 100 fewer total yards from scrimmage.

Are you pretending you play that game with 10 offensive players because Noah isn't there? Or does the guy you plug in his spot do something similar?

Dumb post.

Mario Craver had 368 yards in eight games in a sub-par passing offense on a terrible team as a true freshman.

KC Concepcion had 839 yards as a freshman. He had less production this year, as NCST was a run-heavy team, but he still finished with 460 yards, including a huge game in NCST's bowl.

We have not had a WR that topped 839 yards in a single season since Jhamon Ausbon went for 879 in 2019.

Micah Hudson is the only one who did not do anything at his last school, but he was hampered by injuries for most of the season apparently.

ETA: We also add 5-star, Jerome Myles, who averaged 104 yards per game in high school before getting hurt. He is 6'3 and 220 pounds and was a track star, so could end up being better than what Thomas was for us.

In KC's freshman season, he had less than 100 fewer yards than Thomas did the last two seasons combined.

No, but I'm not going to pretend that the shorter, and less productive players would have been able to make plays at his position given he was the one that had the big game

Concepcion has been more productive in two years than Thomas has been in three!

To be fair, Noah did very little in 3 of our losses (ND/S Carolina/tu)

So if you want to give him full credit for the Arkansas win then we may need to revisit the other 3 games with different players.

Or do you win games against USC and Notre Dame (and possibly Auburn although you can't place that loss on Noah) if you have a true #1 receiver and win 10 or 11 games.

Even the bowl loss is conflicting.

Had 2 nice TDs. But not many yards against a terrible defense and completely botched what would have been a game winner.

We beat ND with Noah Thomas playing and Reed being the QB. That's on the coaches

True WR? Sounds like our coaches need to do better

You might be right about ND. Reed should have played that game. CW was absolutely terrible in that game.

Nothing conflicting about it. Noah dropped a sure thing TD that became a critical turnover. A perfect example of how Noah is a very flawed receiver.

Noah did play against Notre Dame, and let's not act like Noah was creating separation in that game. Yes, Connor sucked, but his receivers gave him little help.

Texags logic:

The reason Noah didn't score more touchdowns and was only the leader of the Aggie wide receivers with less than a dozen touchdowns was because Klein didn't have the quarterback hand him the ball enough on 4th and 1 from the goal line.......

Thomas just didn't get A&M after 3 years and would have a terrible senior season as most seniors don't play as well when they are seniors as they did when they are freshmen.

Georgia is a terrible team of players like Noah that are too tall to be good (just like Kyler was too short to be good), is losing lots and lots of recruits to the transfer portal, is getting terrible players like our leading receiver, and will never win all those championships like the Aggies do.

What, another thread killing post? I'll just get in the transfer posters portal.
