He will be missed. Seems like this came out of nowhere. I wonder if something happened or was said in the last game.

We are losing our most experienced wide receiver Noah Thomas, but we picked up some good wide receivers in the portal.

Noah Thomas once again assumes yoke of Jimbo Fisher-style plodding offense by committing to Georgia over return to Texas A&M football. The regression shown this year for Georgia's offense, despite returning Carson Beck and Mike Bobo, should be alarming for Bulldog fans, and it's extremely possible if not likely that Thomas is headed for a worse offensive situation than the one he is leaving.

Bobo's offensive output, apart from last year when he was still reaping the rewards of Todd Monken's work in Athens, has been subpar at every stop he's had for quite some time. It's reminiscent of Jimbo Fisher in many ways and in that sense, this is a regression for Thomas, too, as he's going back to the plodding style of offense that he had just escaped with Fisher's departure.

Maybe you missed this post...it was actually in the other Thomas thread. It got lots of stars. I would call this saying he is terrible.

But maybe you are right and I am being too overly dramatic.

Next year is just going to be a monster question mark.

He was our WR1 this year. And he would have been WR3 at best for tu, Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, and Auburn. That's the real issue.

Some of you try really hard to have others share in your misery.

Noah is solid. He can be replaced and may already have been.

Only time will tell if he's a loss, and how our WRs will do in 2025. I'm pretty excited about what we do have personally. Wish we had Noah to go with them, but not going to freak out much more than that

I don't really get it either. If you come play for A&M I will support you 100% but if you want to leave and play for another college team then the support from me stops. Football has changed and players can go where they want but do not expect me to continue to follow your college career somewhere else.

And ironically some of the well wishers of people leaving can be some of the rudest people on here (not talking about this particular thread).

One time I posted a comment about Kyle Allen throwing a terrible pick 6 for the Texans. You would have thought I ran over Reveille. I had several people in the zoo post the nastiest comments to me. They called me all kinds of names. I don't have the ag tag but I graduated from A&M. Often times these well-wishers show more respect to a player who passes on thru A&M versus those who actually graduated from A&M.

I appreciate Thomas played hard for us and stuck with us at least through the bowl game when many others bailed. I hope he does well at Georgia. But in three years I can't think of more than a dozen times I thought wow Noah Thomas got wide open. Some of it has been scheme for sure. But I wish I would have seen him create more separation on his own.

He'll be another year more mature next year; physically stronger and more experienced. Maybe 6'6 and 215 or 220.

It's a huge loss.

Wish him the best. These are professional players looking to maximize their earnings.

He's put on 5 lbs in 3 yrs at A&M (195 in 2022 to 200 in 2024, per official roster). But yeah, he'll turn in to Mike Evans/Megatron in one off-season.

And Noah can't catch a pass if it hits him in the face in the endzone…

According to the professionals, what we've acquired in the portal is just as good or better. That's actually based on totally objective ratings.
