Some of you can't see the forest for the trees. Noah Thomas might not be good enough to be your #1 receiver but he sure does make a good option for WR2 or WR3. Y'all act like there's only one WR on the field.

I'm not wrong. He isn't that good.
He's average
Well he was going to be a starter next year for us. So...
Losing an average player who was going to start isn't a big loss.

He never was "an Ag." That doesn't make him evil, but the sooner we accept the football team in no way, shape or form represents Texas A&M, the sooner we can move on from this nonsense and cut the cord.Tejas Ag 10 said:
This honestly sucks because I really liked Noah and thought he represented A&M well. Part of what made CFB great was rooting for guys like him and following their careers after the graduated whether that be in the NFL or the private world. Really does suck that while he'll always "be an ag" it's a much more diminished version of it.

Agreed…wondering if thinks he will get better development and exposure at Georgia.

I'm glad our not good receivers catch 8 TDs in a season. That means our good ones are catching 12+ per year. Can someone remind me how many we had last year that caught that many.
Hes not remotely Evans. Evans is a burner in a tight end body.the most cool guy said:Kansas Kid said:the most cool guy said:vander54 said:the most cool guy said:BTKAG97 said:Define "that".the most cool guy said:vander54 said:the most cool guy said:

Having 8 TDs in a season doesn't mean you're a great receiver. It means 8 of your catches happened to occur in the end zone. Look at his stats in conference games. He is absolutely average whether he goes or stays. He was just billed as the next Mike Evans out of high school so everybody still thinks he has Mike Evans type potential. But he's in year 3 and he's been JAG. Let him walk if he doesn't want to be here.
That being said, he will absolutely be developed better and have a better shot at the NFL if he goes to Georgia. That is the smart move for him. If they're offering, he should go.

I'm curious what their individual production numbers each looked like last season?

Noah Thomas is 10th all time in WR touchdowns for A&M, as Junior. This is a big loss.

That's not a measure of how good a WR is. Not a big loss at all.

He was our best WR last year by a long shot and would have been our best WR next year. That seems like a big loss.
Any time you have starters leaving, it shows your program is a dumpster fire. Especially when there is no coaching change.
Well, if it's being on a National Championship team, then the grass is definitely greener at Georgia. Besides, when Kirby Smart calls, you better damn listen.aeon-ag said:

Wrong on next year I hope. But if he would have been our best next year, that would mean we're bound for another 7-8 win season anyway, so still not much of a loss.
Of course our program is a dumpster fire. I'm extremely critical of our program and get called a pot banger and accused of being a sip troll constantly because of that. But Noah Thomas is average and not a big loss. I will keep posting this over and over until people stop responding to me.
This is correct. I don't think Noah is a big loss, but Georgia is objectively a night and day better program, and he should go if they're giving him the chance.gA_CMAB_FA said:Well, if it's being on a National Championship team, then the grass is definitely greener at Georgia. Just me, but maybe it could be that simple - he might just want to experience being on a true contender, practice against the best day in and day out, and then prove himself in the combines and Pro Days.
Georgia's Pro Days are simply the best attended for all positions, maybe Ohio State or Alabama can match them.
Agreed.vander54 said:concac said:

This. He's not WR1 but he should flourish as WR2 or WR3.
