Texas is going to win it all. Line play.
This ND team is embarrassing the lines that beat Texas twice

UGa's defense has been stout…ND has had to chisel their way through it. But the title is OSU's to lose.

Why in the hell didn't Elko bring Riley Leonard with him to A&M? He's the real deal and we would have won 10+ games.
That is the riddle... I am not sure that Riley Leonard is that good and yet here he is winning game after game...

So, he is that good or his whole team and coaching that good?

If you replace Riley Leonard with CW our former QB, will they ND have the same similar results? I say may be...

Notre Dame OC Mike Denbrock is also a big reason for their success

makes it very easy to not watch.

I think it's pretty exciting. Marcus Freeman took over at ND because the players wanted the 35 year old, never before head coach to take over. And the erstwhile pinnacle of college football said yes. And he has delivered in a big way without the jackassery of Kelly. I'm a fan of the daring hire and the results he's delivered…and I historically have hated ND.

Mike Stoops, the ultimate daring hire.

You read my mind.

the committee is happy now

if the sips had beaten UGA in the title game...

Georgia would have still won 2 of 3 -- which usually indicates the better team

what a strange playoff

If Notre Dame can get any type of offense going, which I think they can, I think they beat Georgia by a couple scores.

Notre Dame defense is elite and now Georgia operating with #2 QB (Beck wasn't great but experience counts) isn't good for the Dawgs

You're right, but that OL has been getting ripped to shreds. Ewers wouldn't have time at all.

I'm betting it's a OSU and ND final with OSU winning.

No team that loses to NIU should be in the playoffs to begin with.

Had they NOT called it, you'd be right.

TEXTBOOK pass interference. You do know you have to make a play on the ball, which he did not.

That is 100% not true. You do not have to make a play on the ball. Where did you get that? You can play pass defense without ever even looking at the ball. You do get a lot more leeway if you turn and make a play for the ball, but it is not a requirement.

Hard to hate ND too much when their head coach is such a class act. Seems like a hell of a man.

Amen!!! Nor teams that lose to multiple conference opponents, especially the same team twice!!!

We have a semifinal full of second chance losers!

Georgia outgained Notre Dame 294 total yards (225 passing and 69 rushing) to 213 total yards (88 passing and 125 rushing, but Notre Dame won the turnover margin 2 to 0, returned the opening kickoff of the 2nd half for a touchdown, and stopped Georgia on 4th and 5 in the red zone. As result, Notre Dame advanced to the CFP Semifinal against Penn State in the Capital One Orange Bowl. I noticed several trends.

1. Since an embarrassing 16-14 home loss to Northern Illinois on 9/7, Notre Dame has won 12 consecutive games to improve to 13-1, and 12 of their 13 wins were by 10+ points each.

2. Notre Dame has outscored Indiana and SEC Champion Georgia by a combined 50-27 margin.

3. Notre Dame snapped Georgia's 4-game winning streak to drop them to 11-3 (6-2 SEC).

4. Notre Dame snapped Georgia's 4-game playoff winning streak by handing them their first playoff loss since a 26-23 overtime loss to Alabama in the 2018 CFP National Championship Game on 1/8/2018.

5. All 4 teams that got first round bye lost, and 3 of them lost by 13+ points each.

Notre Dame has physically whipped every team since NIU loss...12 GAMES AGO...and won each of those games by 10+ points. This is 100% earned.

ND won because of the refs. UGA wins if the game was fairly officiated.

I was really impressed with the sportsmanship shown by Northern Illinios' head coach Thomas Hammock when he shared with Notre Dame's head coach Marcus Freeman ideas on how the Fighting Irish could improve after losing to NIU. Even more amazing was how humble and and willing to listen and learn Coach Freeman was by accepting Coach Hammock's advice and guidance to help Notre Dame improve on the gridiron.

Georgias inability to run the ball this season ultimately doomed them. Who would have thought that their leading rusher would have 38 yards…
