ASU shouldn't have given up a 4th and 13. If they get a stop there, they win.

It's been in the works since the Pac 12 deal fell thru. Throw on an alumni who has his eyes set on winning governor for this state, an unproven name getting recruited, and who knows what else.

Just watch it all unfold. No one cares what we warned them about. It will be forgotten in a week.

You just have to laugh at this point.

No going back

tu was on its death bed just a year or three ago (rotting in the BDF) and we thought it would be great to play them again.

Aggie jokes do indeed write themselves.

100 year dec………… 10 year decision.

Now that they have tu, the SEC gives ZERO craps about us.

We always complain when things don't go our way. Instead of complaining about the refs, we should concentrate on how this game was way closer than expected and Texas did not look great. They still won, but if they play like that in the next game they will lose. That is what we should be talking about rather than the refs.

Terrible call by their DC. Before that snapped, I was telling my family they'd go for the EZ. And what does ASU do, an obvious blitz that is stuffed at the LOS. Such a bad call.

Yep. As soon as I saw them crowd the Los with 8, I knew they had an easy TD. You don't need to bring the house with a long distance to gain. So stupid there

Ranting to the wrong people? I mean it's not like any TexAgs members had any decision-making ability on this. Nor arguably any institution singly.

Texas was always going to be admitted when they asked for membership for one reason: dollars.

How about those trolling us that said "leave the SEC, go to the Big Ten"

The people making decisions at A&M only care about money and their careers. It was clearly evident when they rolled over so easily with letting t.u into the SEC

No fight whatsoever

Refs probably would have manufactured a irbalty against asu if they get the stop there

There'd be a defensive hold or pi thats would have been called to keep the sips alive

There's only one problem with your assessment.........

Nobody from the pre-expansion SEC is getting even ONE more $$ than they weren't already getting or going to be getting. The only "SEC" teams to see a massive increase in their revenues are cow and OU, to bring them up to even standard with all the other SEC teams. No other SEC teams are getting increased revenues for cow and OU joining the SEC, none, not one penny.

Now, the maybe could change if we go to 9 conference games and Disney/ABC/ESPN decides to pay more $$; but they have already said they are not going to whether we stay at 8 or 9 conference games, they will not renegotiate the contract. They have no incentive to pay more

We couldn't solely block the expansion and them joining, my question was always why would Arkansas and Mizzou not want to block it for competitive and historical reasons and State and Vandy for competitive reasons also. That should have been a block of 4 no votes along with aTm to have 5 no votes total to block it.

The rest just all blindly voted yes assuming it was going to mean more $$$ in their coffers, they didn't read the fine print or understand that the only additional $$$ was going to cow and OU, not Bama/UT/lsu/UGA/FL, etc.

ESiPN already defending the targeting non call "even if it WAS targeting, who's to say ASU would win?".

Nevermind it would have been a fresh set of downs inside the 35. GMAFB

The next contract will be higher surely and definitely the value of Texas/OU will be factored into the bid. Without a lot of research and typing tonight on my part, ESPN essentially helped facilitate Texas' movement to the SEC with transactions involving the Longhorn Network and the new Big 12 contacts. They would not have done this if they did not see an opportunity to profit along with their SEC conference partners.

My contention is not based on a renegotiation of the current contract, but the NEW one when the current one in effect expires. I assert the Horns and Sooners will add value then.

I think most of the SEC university presidents simply followed the vision that a consolidation was coming and it was far better to get two huge brands in Texas and Oklahoma to join the SEC than let the Big 10 acquire them. Also you might not believe that Texas is a valuable commodity, but others do, including people like Greg Sankey.

Not even close. Targeting on ASU INT was every bit the foul that was not called on texas safety.

Skattebo OT TD was a foul on their OL. You cannot pull someone forward like that.

oh you goofy little Sip his/him. The targeting by Sips was obvious as it was head-to-head. The one against the Texas WR was clearly not one as the DB was literally turned backwards and didn't hit helmet first. And ASU owned your overrated Sip dorks in yardage all day long. Now go figure out what a woman is in Austin.

It's the reverse of the SEC championship game where Texas owned Georgia in yardage but the Dawgs won in OT.

Definitely better to be on the higher points side.

Told who? The SEC?

The SEC is thrilled that they added a team that has won them 2 playoff games. Not to mention the eyeballs and $$$.

Unfortunately, if we told the SEC to boot tu (or stop favoring them) or we leave... they'd show us the door in a heartbeat.

We need a compilation video of all the times sip had favorable targeting calls, whether it be when they got no calls for targeting, or had bull**** calls that their opponents targeted them. The dice only rolls one way.

Just think. Texas could have gone toe-to-toe with Arizona State every season of they had joined the PAC 10.

Texas has a good team, but they have one Achilles Heel. I know because I have watched Aggie Football do it for decades. Even when they overmatch their opponent with talent, they play down to the level of the competition. They did it against us, and they did it with ASU. They frequently did it in the Big XII.

A&M is one of the most seriously NCAA sanctioned teams of all time. Bryant - bowl ban, Sherrill - bowl ban, Slocum - bowl ban, etc. Aggies project better than Democrats. The claim is also that historical blue bloods are protected yet some of the most heavily punished have been exactly those: USC, Alabama, and OU. This is just a self-pity party.

As of 2012. Team, total years on probation, times sanctioned.

We ended up in the right conference. Texas being here will add to Texas A&M's revenue in every sport at least every other year.
