I usually don't believe in them but I have seen so many big calls go Texas way that I am a believer in them when it comes to Texas.

And I am not just talking about calls against A&M. UH got badly screwed on a spot a couple of years ago. Notre Dame got screwed on a non targeting call against Texas. I could make a laundry list of bad calls that go in Texas favor.

Basically, if there is a big call at the end of the game that could be a deciding factor, it almost always goes in Texas favor. Way more than 50/50.

Not a doubt in my mind that if an Aggie does that targeting against Texas or anyone else, that is 100% called for targeting.

(Edit) and the throwing bottles to get the call reversed against Georgia just proves my point. The ref had already marked the penalty for goodness sakes.

99.9% that tuning out won't make a difference. But sometimes it does.

TBH this was a poorly officiate game all around. That Scateboo (sp?) guy got away with a push off on the long catch he made late in the 4th quarter for Arizona. They instead called PI on the tu player and it was declined for the facemask on the same play. I don't think the block on the whorns punt return TD was material to the play unfolding, but both teams were holding on the offensive lines and I don't think there was a single flag. This is why I am glad we didn't join the Big 10 to start with because their refs are hot garbage.

Did anyone notice the TD that Arizona had in OT where the offensive lineman pulled their MVP running back past the goal line? That was also a penalty uncalled. It was on first and goal so I don't know if it affected the outcome but it should not have been a TD.

Why are we so concerned with tu anyway? None of the other SEC teams are in the QF and we didn't get it done this season. Let's move on. Without divisions now we have as good a chance as anyone next season.

And I forgot to say it's bad sportsmanship to lobby for a targeting call when the refs on the field didn't even throw a flag and the outcome of a game depends on it. Let the officials on the field call the game and it's bad form that Arizona's coach and team were crying about a potential target foul ONLY because the booth decided to slow the game down to review it. When did football become such a p*ssy sport???

I thought it was targeting also. A referee disagrees. It was apparent a close call either way.
