A close buddy texted me a little while ago reminding me that in recent history it's smarter to bet against the favorite in bowl games as the favorite has already played their most important game(s) of the season (Circa Bama loss to Utah 2009 Sugar Bowl to present day). Adding that unless you're in the playoff these bowl games are a notch above a scrimmage, put bluntly.
No excuse for Ags blowing a lead - that was atrocious. His point was more about how bowl games are almost meaningless for some teams, especially if the team just missed making the conf. playoffs or NC playoffs. However, military academy teams always show up regardless. I miss the old days....
