What could have been and another one to leave from that 2022 recruiting class.

Well, we picked up two TE transfers and Armstrong as a recruit. He wasn't going to play.

Thought he showed a lot of promise as a freshman. Im guessing he just wasn't the same after the injury.

We still need a couple DT's, a receiving TE, supposedly another WR, an OT would be great, and I would think a couple DB's. We have around 82 guys coming back or coming in, so would expect more transfers out. Just hope it isn't someone who was going to play major snaps.

WR is not a definite. But we definitely are after at least 1 DT and 1 pass catching TE.

Serious question….are there no pass catching TE's that can also block? Seems like we're throwing a lot of money and roster spots for one position that we can't seem to find the right guy.

You've seen the evolution of the the position as it's a glorified receiver now

Cannot think of one that stood out this year that was good at both in college ball.

Really disappointed. I thought he was going to be the guy.

tu's tightend Gunner Helm had a solid year playing the classic in-line TE.

There are maybe 4-6 (maybe) of these guys in the NFL as we speak. It may be one of the hardest skill combinations to find, period...

With Green I wouldn't say that, he was on his way to being an above average player until he got hurt. Never seemed to be the same since

Calling him overrated is a bit ignorant. It's impossible to say what he could have been. Not all injuries are created equal. He never fully recovered from his. Completely set him back these past 2 years to the point where rumors are he was more likely to medically retire than ever play here.

Some much potential for DG and injury took that away. Such a positive Ag helping w recruiting players to A&M. Was hoping he'd get back to form and be the stud TE he was going to be (would have been key to offense this last yr if got back to samenold self).

Exact reason why we need another bruising RB from the portal. There's no guarantee Moss comes back as his same self and be the guy taking the pounding and mentally be the same or get re-injured. Not saying he can't, but odds are against that he's 100% and healthy all of next season.

Not to mention that skill isn't enough, they have to be that freakish kind of athlete where they combine almost lineman size with almost WR hands/quickness.

We have receiving TE's just as we saw in THE FIRST HALF of the bowl game...with success! The only problem was our ignorant offensive coordinator didn't use them the entire second half! An offensive genius that Klein!
