Ou has plenty of money. Their athletic program makes more than ours most years, and there are plenty of donors.

AD finances are hard to unpack but a quick glance at google tells me that I don't think that's right.

OU is not financially well. Football program can hang in there for a bit but the fact they still have Venables tells you a lot

This is the tsips fault. Somewhat their fault and OSUs as well. If they would have came to the SEC with us, instead of Mizzou, where would they be now? We took the hard road but what was best for us. They took the easy road, listened to the sips and ball and chain OSU, and now will suffer for it. We now suffer as well due to that dickface cumdumpster, asswipe, ****** sucking Sankey. Never trust the sips. Never trust Sankey.

Change my mind.

I can't believe Fasusi committed to this program going down the toilet. Not thinking clearly.
OU outbid both A&M and Texas for Fasusi. Those saying OU is NIL-poor are very much mistaken.

OU is #10 on this list. They are very much in the thick of well-heeled programs. OU also has one of the most connected recruiting networks in not only Texas, but in the country.

OU football has always had a few down years here and there just like any other Blue Blood, but always do what they need to do to get back. They'll find a way.

Google search "OU Italian monastery money issues". OU has financial stresses that are limiting its NIL effectiveness. This is part of the reason why Lincoln Riley left for USC.

Nothing to do with OU boosters funding NIL. Oh yeah, USC can out-bid just about anybody for a coach, plus Riley didn't want to compete in the SEC.

OU pays about $70m per year in interest and principal on debts accumulated from years of "unfettered" spending. Some of these projects require donor contributions and fundraising. OU donors do not have bottomless pockets. This limits NIL funding, because, well, these funds are being spent elsewhere.

Bowl games have been pretty meaningless since 1998. They are completely and utterly irrelevant now.

I doubt anyone (even OU sombrero dude) gives two ****s about the score of that game . I'll always pull for Navy because of my father in law, but bowl games are glorified scrimmages for 3rd stringers.
Yeah, but they make the holidays much more enloyable

They went out and got an elite QB in the portal for next year. Props to them.

I was hoping for some Opus Dei skullduggery but it looks like they may have mismanaged a little less than $15 million in the study abroad program.

I can see why that would be a pretty big reason Riley absconded. He might have had kids that were looking forward to studying there some day.
