2026 Lakewood (CA) tight end Caleb Tafua commits to Texas A&M
Recruiting never stops as Mike Elko and his staff continue to add key pieces to the 2026 recruiting class. On Saturday, they received good news from the West Coast as Lakewood (CA) tight end Caleb Tafua announced his commitment to Texas A&M.
At 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, Tafua is a big target in the passing game with 795 yards and 10 TDs on 44 receptions as a junior in 2024.
In addition to the Aggies, he has received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and USC, and is regarded as one of the top tight ends in his class.
He is Texas A&M’s ninth commitment of the 2026 recruiting class, and he joins Xavier Tiller at tight end. He is also the Aggies’ second addition from California alongside linebacker Samu Moala.
