I'm being generous and saying 6-6. They are getting steamrolled in the trenches on both sides by ND

Beat Samford, Miss St, UCF, UK, LSU, and FSU. Only giving them LSU bc I think our game and the Bama game the previous two weeks absolutely broke that program.

To my eye they are holding their own more in the trenches but ND just has ton more team speed

You need your eyes checked.

IU is rushing for less than 2.4 YPC & giving up more than 8 YPC. Even take out the big ND run and still 5 YPC.

8 wins max, but probably 6 or 7

Can we all agree now that quality of opponent matters?

That auto bids (I realize IU is not an auto bid) are stupid because all conferences are not created equal?

And last but certainly not least, we do not need a committee of biased individuals voting on who the best teams are.

We have computers that can dispassionately consider strength of schedule, quality wins, etc. and calculate who the actual best teams are.

My guess is SMU and Boise will both get run out of the stadium, too.

SMU, IU, ASU, Boise State. They might win 1 game between all of them combined if they get lucky.

But none of those teams are better than Ole Miss, Bama or S Carolina.

The committee/AP was determined to get as many BIG teams in as they could to try and devalue the strength of the SEC. It will blow up in their face a d have to go back to SOS.

Best two teams play in most CCGs. Best of the best meted abd takes auto-bid avd, most importantly has to compete with other CCG winners for the top four byes and also removes that choice from the committee.

One can argue whether Boise State is deserving of a bye, but the other three are good choices and Boise State wasn't awful as a choice, Clemson and SMU both were meh regardless of Clemson winning the CCG.

The first four out were Carolina (9-3), Ole Man SS (9-3), Miami (10-2), and Bama (9-3.) SMU was 11-2 with a ACC CCG loss and Clemson was 5th conference winner with a 10-3. Bama played out…with losses against two teams that weren't ranked at the time and a "better loss" against playoff invitee Tennessee.

Going to more teams (let's guess 20 since it keeps the byes and all conferences except the SEC insisted on conference champions avd byes for top four) means there is much less work for the committee to do as far as unbalancing the bracket.

I think we should wait until it's over to judge it. It's been vastly more interesting so far.

Take it to 24 and follow the FCS model. Maybe add a 5 team per conference max. No whining about not getting in after that.

Lol. They got their ass whipped.

They won the easy schedule lottery much like Texas did.

The big 10 can't be trusted they will rig schedules to assure they get at least 4 teams every year. They have cheated rigged twice in just the last 10 years. To get in who they want in playoffs.. sankey a fool to get in bed with these guys. Sankey a awww shucks way over his head versus a big 10 commish who plays for keeps.

Boise held their own against the #1 ranked team in the bracket. I doubt they get "run out of the stadium" by anyone in the CFP field.

But I do think that the majority of their schedule was trash
