Mehh, I think the game plan was bad vs TU. Ags have athletes to compete against the best. Execution is a different story but it's year one. Indiana played one team with a pulse, that's my point.

This is the best Notre Dame team in a long time. Indiana and Arizona St do not belong. Arizona St lost to Texas Tech. Like previously mentioned these are not even close to the best 12 teams

The SoS metric is TERRIBLE so referring to it is distracting. Difficulty of schedule is necessary because schedules are not balanced at all.

The polls and committed and computer rankings all over ranked raw results and still do. But how do you avoid an eye test or a lack of transparency???

I agree that they aren't very good, but people would be just as mad if the committee said "I know you went 11-1 in the Big 10, but...we're taking 9-3 Alabama. Sorry." I don't know what the solution is unless they go to a completely objective system involving division champs of some sort in the major conferences with a couple of spots carved out for non-major conference teams (or just have 4 gigantic super conferences with divisions and leave anyone outside of that system out of it altogether).

They need to falter, so does Boise and SMU. The committee needs to look like fools in choosing them to correct their reasoning for future years. SoS matters. Even recruiting rankings matter. SEC is tops in both and beat themselves up every year in conference. A 12 team playoff should be 4 SEC teams every year at least otherwise it's a joke. This year is starting to show that way.

It's more like the 6 best teams and then a bunch of equal Representation teams to make sure every conference has teams in it plus a g5

Oregon
Ohio st
Texas
Penn st
Notre dame
Georgia

And im not even sure if Penn st really has a legit chance

None of these teams are unbeatable. Any of them could lose a game. Clemson being capable of beating tu today does not mean they are good enough to then beat ASU, Oregon and Georgia.

I clearly get what you are trying to say. I understand that. But there's a big difference between any team can lose a to any team. That implys just random things happening to cause an upset.

The Vols could easily beat the Ohio State not bc it is something fluky. But bc they are the better team. I also don't think Ohio State can win it all though. But that is not what this discussion is about.
