It's more like the 6 best teams and then a bunch of equal Representation teams to make sure every conference has teams in it plus a g5

Oregon
Ohio st
Texas
Penn st
Notre dame
Georgia

And im not even sure if Penn st really has a legit chance

Also agree on what you stated about Penn State but they do have the easiest road to get to the final 4. Someone on the committee with lots of control clearly is a Penn State fan.

The Big 10 had one too many teams in. The SEC has two or three too few in.

Move to 16 teams.

I'd say it says more about the power of those two conferences off the field more than anything else.

Interestingly, in a pure 16 team format, Indiana is playing at home against Boise and would have a good shot to get out of first round. Not sure that solves anything.

That's fine. Boise and Indiana would be a good game. More importantly, Ole Miss and USC probably would have made it in.

I think either of those teams had a legit shot at making the Championship.

I'm all for more top match ups that let the players on the field determine the outcome.

If opinions and not quality wins are going to determine things, at least give more teams a chance to prove it on the field.

I'll say it again, tell me how SOS doesn't matter.

Well definitely have them to beat the number 6, 10 and 11 ranked teams in the country.

These conferences going to 16 plus teams only means you can absolutely go undefeated or one loss without having played anyone good or winning one good one, at home, with some luck.

It still doesn't pass the general viewer eye test. Saying we were 11-1 in the Big 10 or SEC means nothing by name anymore. The name used to matter when a large majority of the conference met the conference standard.

The name means nothing with these super conferences.

I have been told here that a team's ranking at the time you play them is irrelevant, only the final ranking matters, I.e., Texas A&M did not defeat two top 10 teams this season. I disagree with that take, however.

Bc we cannot have all 12 teams be from the SEC.

SoS won't matter until the idiot committee is disbanded or starts taking it seriously rather than the number of wins of losses...
