Texas A&M adds former Georgia CB Julian Humphrey via transfer portal

The third time’s a charm.

Former Georgia CB Julian Humphrey has officially committed to play for Mike Elko and Ishmael Aristide in Maroon & White.

A native of Houston, where he played high school ball at Clear Lake High School, Humphrey brings lots of tools that have made him a heavily targeted player for many schools across the country for a long time. During his senior year for the Falcons, he recorded 27 total tackles, 23 of them being solo and eight pass deflections.

Humphrey didn’t see the field much during his freshman year at Georgia — only playing three games — but increased that number to nine his sophomore year where he had 11 total tackles.

In 2024, he was a starter for the Bulldog defense, where he had 10 total tackles and four pass deflections. He announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 1 and took a visit to Aggieland on Dec. 13.

Humphrey was pursued by the previous coaching staff coming out of high school and even flirted with the portal last year, where there was some mutual interest. Now that he’s officially in the boat and closer to his hometown, he will look to serve as a depth piece in the secondary.
