There are rumors he might want to return to CFB next yr instead of going to the NFL. Wonder if there is any truth behind it. I assume he would transfer as I think tu is probably ready for Arch.
I think it was this year(maybe last) that Chase Daniel was not on an NFL roster since he left Mizzou.33 said:
I think he'll have an NFL career as a backup QB somewhere. He's very smart with a great arm. So, I think he does something similar to Colt McCoy - makes a ton of money as a journeyman backup, occasionally getting into games and retire at 35.
Pretty decent life if you ask me.

Everything I've heard from some sip donors is that it's supposed to be Manning's team next year. What Ewers decides to do won't change that. He either goes pro or transfers.

Lots of rumors he'll be on the move for more money as tu backers say it's Manning's time next year (to ensure Manning doesn't leave).
While Oregon 'sorta' makes sense (esp being money whipped), Ewers really not the type of QB they want. While Ewers can throw it, esp. in a quick passing offense, his mobility isn't in the Lanning mold (look at Dillon G). To me, Oregon should be chasing M Murphy or MS St kid (Van Buren?), but maybe they want passing capabilities proven 1st and 'complementary' running capabilities (that's the correct word before some don't digest properly ).
If USCe can get Sellers to be a better passer, his upside is sky high in the college game (as impossible to tackle apparently). Think Van Buren can be another version, but who knows.
I have watched numerous Duke games. Murphy is as single-threat as they come -- frustratingly so.ahpetty33 said:90ags said:

I've seen several different posters say Maalik Murphy is a dual threat. He is about the most statue-pocket-passer there exists in CFB

I'm not saying the rumor isn't true, because college football has changed so much the last couple of years, but it seems great to me that Texas would make the playoff in consecutive years and not want to keep the QB who got them there. I think it's much more likely Ewers stays at Texas and Arch transfers.

The rumor is Notre Dame (and the number is over $5M).

Smart?!? How smart can he be if he thought being mullet boy for a few years was a good idea.
