Before this, their class was weighted toward DB/Skill players. They got some good DL to replace the dudes they are losing but still lacking in OL recruits, assuming they will look to the portal for that

They are winning…..

One pass away from going to the national championship last year and are on track to make a playoff run this year.

The SEC brand is just a cherry on top. If the roles were switched we would have #1 class.

They did great with WR and DB, very good with DL (now even better), but horrendous with their OL.

Not to mention QB or RB.

Voting to prevent them would've done nothing but make us look like cowards. We missed that chance by not taking proper action prior to the decision being made. We aren't proactive enough and are more concerned with being the nice guys that are just happy to be here. We need to be more cut throat and leverage our political influence.

It won't be. They have a competent coaching staff instead of a fast-talking, greasy used car salesman. They will be in the top three more often than not in the coming years.

Some of you young Ags are about to discover what it was like from 1999-2010 again where it's hopeless and they win 8 out of 10 and we get a bunch of jags who we tell ourselves we're happy about because they want to be here.

Doesn't sound like it early on. Somehow Tech has come on as a player. If true that says a lot in my opinion.

Part of the problem is tu has more political influence, more influence in TV, print, and internet circles, and more money. And if that's not enough, they have umpires, referees, etc. that will cheat for them. So, unfortunately, they're formidable force.

Not True! They are stacked at OL for next year and will get Turntine in the 2026 class. Goosby is 3* R-FR who stepped in for OT Banks in our game and played lights out. They also rotated several backups in our game and there was not a big drop off. But if it makes you feel better to say they are going to be weak at OL then carry on.

Signed the no.1 OT in Baker last year. The LT replacement for Banks (Goosby) is a RS Fr and then they signed 3 OTs this class. Flood tends to recruit large OL hence why they didn't pursue Ty Haywood heavily. He doesn't star chase for the most past it seems

I am very happy with our class. Not a lot of difference between #1 and #9 really. Stack top 10 classes and you can win a NC. With the portal, not knowing who will really pan out, or they just talented but do not work, too much goes into to it. Judge a class 2 or 3 years down the road.

Yeah, they have some depth, but very little experience at OL since they will likely have multiple draft picks and some seniors leave. Based on the depth chart it looks like they may only return 1 starter, which is why I think they will get some Jr/Sr/Grads in the portal

What does them being in the SEC have to do with recruiting? I'm sure nothing at all. Just a coincidence.

"5 star+" is what they call a 5-star that commits to the sips. Manning was also one, I believe.

I think 5*+ is when they are 5* or Rivals, 247 and On3. So all services have them as a 5*

Having the #1 class isn't the slam dunk people think it is. We had one a couple of years ago. In this day and age, the ones who don't start right away or get along with their coaches will portal elsewhere next year.

Their last 4 classes have been top 5. They have been successful recruiting before SEC. Winning and NIL is paying off, thus the #1 class. If you think the main reason is because we "let them in" to SEC then I feel sorry for you
