Looking forward to your thousands of posts this off season not supporting Reed. We always have a few.

If Reed gets injured we have no one that has taken meaningful snaps so its like playing the lottery. Why in the world would we not go out and get a transfer that has taken snaps.

Reed got worse during the season, wins are the only thing that matters and we lost games we shouldn't have. I know a lot of it was the play calling but just look what happened at the end of the season when teams had more video to scout him. You also can't count on your 180 pound QB to run 15-20 times a year and stay healthy.

You have to go out and get another QB this offseason. Reed with a full offseason as QB1 will likely improve but we are way too thin to stick with who we have on the roster.

Excellent comment. He is a smallish guy, in the whole scheme of things, to take the kind of punishment that Klein's offense will subject him to. There needs to be another viable option on the team. If we have it now, great, but I doubt it's a sixteen year old or a preferred walk on.

Is Jackson Arnold that good? I know he was highly recruited but that doesn't always tell the tale.

Read the first page of the thread. Arnold isn't good enough for pop Warner. Then read page 2 and you'll see that Reed isn't good enough for your neighborhood pickup game

Wow. State was sure they were gonna get him.

Reed was 5th this year in QBR for the SEC(as a rs freshman). The two QBs playing in the championship were 3rd and 8th as seniors . Do I worry about how many hits he can take, absolutely. However, we need talent and coaching around him to make the team better. 2/3 of the games in November were lost on defense w/ a defensive head coach….

Excellent pickup for Freeze. Thorne was a terrible QB (until he played us) and cost them several games. Now Arnold actually has to show something but he has the physical tools in a new start

I saw a ton with Reed. His completion percentage improved dramatically. His deep ball was looking better. But he had his Freshman moments which is to be expected.

He does have above average skill in running, but it doesn't matter if he never develops an ability to read the defense or feel for the pocket

I'm going to repeat something that has been said, but seems to get immediately forgotten. The injury to Moss was devastating. Daniels is great, but not on LM's level. Smith is…unimpressive. When the defense let us down, we still managed to crawl back into contention. tu was just better than us. How some of you keep putting our last 3 losses solely on Reed is baffling.

Auburn alums must have a crap ton of money. They are recruiting lights out and their portal action is top notch too.

This. Out losses were an artifact of a down shift in the defense. If people want to crap on Reed, then they either have an agenda or ignorantly fallen into a pattern of group think. Was he good? No, he was average and there was opportunity to be better, but not the reason we lost. He's still young and the up side is still there and excited to see what he becomes. People here are too quick to run people out of the building if they don't produce instant gratification.

That's why I would put my nil money into oline, RB and defense. I think we can win with Reed by being strong in those other areas, but I'm not confident in him ever becoming a passing star.

Had Moss stayed healthy, we beat Auburn imo. And we would have been in the games against SC and sip

The existence of NIL and the transfer portal are the epitome of instant gratification. Adapt or die. I'm sure Reed is a good kid and has that upside, but if you have a chance to bring in someone more proven, you do.
