2025 Montgomery Lake Creek QB Eli Morcos commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has made an addition to its 2025 recruiting class, and it comes in the form of quarterback Eli Morcos‍ from Montgomery Lake Creek.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder comes into the fold after Mike Elko and the Aggie coaching staff scoured the state of Texas for a signal-caller once a need at the position arose following the decommitment of Husan Longstreet‍ in late November.

As a senior, Morcos threw for 2,144 yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games. He also ran for 602 yards on 64 carries while scoring seven times on the ground.

His highlight tape is littered with some impressive stuff with both his arm and his legs. There are layered throws, off-platform deliveries, spatial awareness, pocket presence and decisive decision-making. As a runner, he uses his sturdy frame and surprising top-end speed to rip off big chunks of yardage.

Overall, he is the 24th member of this recruiting class and was a long-time Tulsa commit before the Aggies made their move.

Not sure I agree with this. Way too many missed tackles on defense. Receivers couldn't get open. Inconsistent blocking on offense.

Also he was the first offer the new OU OC made.

I remember when a young man named Shane Matthews was the hot stuff QB recruit, and just down the road there was a HS QB named Brett Favre, who only received a last minute offer from Southern Mississippi because they had a player decommit on signing day. Otherwise Brett Favre was headed to a place called Delta State University.

We are taking two HS QB's. So don't act like we've bet the farm on this young man, but from what I saw on tape he appears to be deserving of a scholarship.

Some of y'all need to watch that video again! This kid has more wiggle and looks quicker than Reed right now. He hits top speed when he pulls the ball quickly. Even when scrambling he keeps his eyes downfield and made some really nice throws. Good pickup to go along with Brady Hart.

Tape looks good, feet and hips look great, accuracy is pretty decent, wonder how smart the kid is
