Vile sips posting, not enough hate in here. Do not wait a couple of seasons for it to grow on you, let it flow now.

100%. They would slot in at 7 or 8 with a loss. Either in front or just behind Tennessee. A win and a loss would put them at 7 but not change things much. A win and win would put them 2 as one of tOSU or the Ducks will take a loss. Go look at current AP. There is no world where they don't make the CFP. I think they could lose by 21 and still make the CFP.

Even if Miami, SMU, Indiana, and Boise all jumped them (which won't happen) one of Clemson and SMU will take a loss and that still leaves them at 11. Bams is at 13 right now. They won't fall below Bama with 2 losses.

If you're right, there's no way Quinn Ewers plays at Kyle on Saturday. Welcome to the SEC, Arch.

Check that. Forgot about Boise at 4. Georgia is currently projected at 8, but they'd move up. Tenn is at 9. So sips would be 8 or 9 depending on whether the CFP puts sips ahead of behind Tenn. Bama and Ole Miss losing changed everything. With Bama getting blown out by OU they have no business making the CFP period.

Is sips beat us and lose to Georgia I bet they stay ahead of Penn St. and slot in at 6 right after an 11-1 ND. Nobody is sold on a Penn St that doesn't make their CCG.

My comment was directed to ObjectiveUTLAW91 in reference to TEX117's question of why are you here?

i.e. "I think you (ObjectiveUTLAW91) missed his (TEX117) question.

Pretty obvious he's here to talk sh….eet now that his jackwad tsip team has invaded our conference and brought their disgusting fan attitudes along too.

sorry if there was confusion.

BTHOTU!

I've been a Texas fan my entire life and I don't have a disgusting attitude. I've always tried to be honest and objective on Texags. Occasionally I've been drawn into the embarrassing ad hominem garbage, but that's been rare. We're not all jerks. Even those of us who don't have kids at A&M (although I do).
1. Can't help you with that problem……

2. Very debatable….but, congrats for that.

I am not surprised that we are 5.5-point home underdogs to Texas. We have lost our last 2 SEC road games to South Carolina and Auburn because we allowed 75 combined points in regulation (44 to South Carolina and 31 to Auburn). Texas has won 10 consecutive true road games since a 41-34 road loss at Oklahoma State on 10/22/2022.

We have 3 common opponents with Texas:

Florida: We have a 33-20 road win on 9/14, and Texas has 49-17 home win on 11/9.

Arkansas: We have a 21-17 win at Jerry World on 9/28, and Texas has a 20-10 road win on 11/16

Mississippi State: We have a 34-24 road win on 10/19, and Texas has a 35-13 home win on 9/28.

Our best wins are over 8-3 (4-3 SEC) Missouri and 7-4 (4-3 SEC) LSU. Missouri will finish either 8-4 (4-4 SEC) or 9-3 (5-3 SEC), and LSU will finish either 7-5 (4-4 SEC) or 8-4 (5-3 SEC).

Texas best Power 4 wins are over 6-5 (4-4 Big 10) Michigan, 6-5 (2-5 SEC) Oklahoma, 6-5 (3-4 SEC) Vanderbilt, 6-5 (4-4 SEC) Florida, and 6-5 (3-4 SEC) Arkansas. These 5 teams will either finish 6-6 or 7-5.

A night home game could heavily play in our favor because Texas will be playing an SEC road game at night for the first time. The night crowd noise helped us dominate LSU 31-6 in the second half on 10/26 and helped South Carolina dominate us 24-0 in the second half one week later on 11/2. Hopefully, the night crowd noise will help us to beat Texas.

Watched most of Texas' game against UK on demand today

Ewers has whats likely a grade 2 ankle sprain and has been dealing with a oblique injury most of the season (an injury that limits torque and therefore pass velocity.. an injury that's very easy to re-injure if not properly managed). The ankle can be mended to get him to "game ready" but he is going to be limited moving in the pocket… and if he gets hit a few times who knows

Ewers is much more limited than people realize going into this game. I would be shocked if Manning isn't a big part of the Texas gameplan. I assume our coaching staff is ready for that as well

Ewers has a mild angle sprain. We will see how that impacts the game.

No such thing as a 'mild' sprain, that's just coach speak to the media and media is running with it… what matters is how severe is the ligament damage and to what degree is it limiting the athlete.. if you watched their last game, he was considerably limited, it's not "mild"

Plot twist: Sark decides to start Arch.

Is he that bad? He can't be worse than Ewers. Can't be

Ewers doesn't throw the deep ball well, and he lacks toughness. His playing style is cautious, and the play-calling reflects that, relying heavily on bubble screens to compensate for the lack of a strong power running game.

Did you see Kentucky game? We didn't run any bubble screens. We ran the ball down their throats the last 2 quarters. Power running. Wisner had 156 yards. Blue had 98.

Yeah, I really do. I just don't see how they leave a 2 loss sip squad out. Eyeballs etc.
This. The whole thing is network driven and not objective. Even with that, there's not a scenario where tu doesn't make it in. They've punched their card already. The question is, can we join them? And that's highly doubtful. Even if we get through this weekend, we've gotta get the automatic conference champion bid. We were given a lot of wiggle room yesterday with Bama, Ole Piss, BYU and Colorado all going down. And we proceeded to sh** the bed like we always do. One more loss ANYWHERE and we're done

Viper16: I'll answer your question directly. I'm not here to talk trash that's not my style, and I'm too old for that. I don't trash my own team either. However, I'll admit I'm a very critical fan with high standards for what qualifies as "the real deal" versus media-driven "hype."

I'm also incapable of hating Texas A&M. I love college football and always try to be respectful. I don't see why I'd be labeled an "arrogant" UT fan. I attended UT from 1984 to 1991, and during that time, A&M regularly kicked our asses. I've been a member of this board for decades, though I haven't been very active since the games stopped. I still believe this is the best college football forum out there.

I always enjoy the range of responses from fans here, finding them both entertaining and interesting. In a strange way, I relate most to the hardcore, negative fans the "sky is falling" type because that's often how I think about my own team.

Congratulations for attending tu during the years when A&M was regularly kicking your asses. It helped to tone down the arrogance from your fans for a bit. You weren't there when the opposite was true.

I graduated from Texas A&M in 1973.

That was before the 85 man scholarship limit was eventually instituted over time from 1973 to 1992 in attempt "to level the playing field". Prior to that, there were effectively no limits on signing excellent players and tu arrogance. The "richer schools" would stack great players up like cord wood on their teams. Other schools that couldn't compete effectively (under the table money), were left with a smaller proportion of football standouts. Money talked, and bullsheeet walked....even back then. It was easy to claim a superior football position without limits.

Prior to the scholarship change beginning in 1973, my experience with "Texas Fans" was pretty much the same. Elitist, holier than thou, subtle " we are Texas...better than you backwards farm boys in College Station.

Highlighting that you have been "a member of this board for decades" automatically gives you what? Some sort of special status or a pass......not sure what that comment was about....anyway......

This is a Texas Aggie Football site.....Aggies will talk sheeeeet about tu. If you can't handle that, then don't join in or accept the trash talk that will occur.

Just realize, there are a lot of Ags on this forum that aren't into the Kumbaya you appear to seek as a "Longhorn Fan!" Most will express that in negative comments at some point.

I am sure there will be a lot of newer Ags that haven't experienced "Longhorn Fans" chanting "Pooooor Aggggiees!" and, when that happens, the Kumbaya will rapidly go away.

Have a nice day.

To Viper16: Thank you for your response. However, I'm not here to foster or encourage any type of kumbaya moments. Fans should enjoy their fandom to the fullest, and for many, that includes embracing the rivalry and even the hate. That's just not my personal approach, but I'm not here to suggest otherwise.

So, why am I here? Your question has made me reflect further on that. Upon deeper thought, my presence here is a reflection of my personality. I dislike echo chambers and have no interest in listening to "homers"a great Philly term for fans who are blindly supportive and never critical of their team. I've always enjoyed hearing the other side and exploring different perspectives.

At the same time, I do recognize that I am a guest in this forum, and I try to approach it with that understanding. That's the best way I can explain my reasons for being here. By the way, your post contains a lot of truth about the state of college football in the 1970s.

my take on the game...

it seems like the horns get out to an early 10+ point lead in the 1st half in almost every game they play (except Georgia)

they play from ahead most of the time

the Ags need to score the first touchdown on Saturday
