Around Aggieland (11/22)
On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the fall continues. Football travels to Auburn, men's and women's basketball continues non-conference play and much more.
Football
Sitting atop the Southeastern Conference, Texas A&M has an opportunity to reach uncharted waters, as two more wins would guarantee A&M a spot in the conference championship. Texas A&M and Auburn will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT at Jordan-Hare.
Men’s Basketball
No. 23 Texas A&M's win streak reached four as an incredible second half helped the Aggies erase a deficit and beat Southern, 71-54.
Next week, the Aggies will travel to Las Vegas to compete in the Players Era Festival, beginning with Oregon at 3:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday.
Women’s Basketball
Joni Taylor’s Aggies are in the Bahamas the weekend, playing in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. That begins with Villanova Saturday night at 8 p.m.
Volleyball
The A&M volleyball program returns to Reed Arena Friday evening as it hosts Georgia with first serve set for 6:30 p.m and LSU on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Women’s Tennis
Nicole Khirin outlasted Stanford’s Connie Ma in a three-set roller coaster ride to win Thursday’s NCAA Division I Singles Championship third-round match at Baylor.
With the 7-5, 6-7 (6), 6-3 victory, Khirin became just the fourth player in program history to reach the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Singles Championship.
Khirin faces the tournament’s No. 2 seed, Dasha Vidmanova of Georgia Friday at 10 a.m.
Equestrian
The No. 2 Texas A&M equestrian team concludes its fall schedule on the road against No. 9 Baylor on Friday at noon from the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
